Cloudstaff is a Philippine outsourcing company providing offshore teams for technology, finance and creative work. It operates large delivery campuses in Clark and other Philippine cities. The company serves clients in Australia, the United States and Europe.

We are seeking a talented and versatile Video Editor to join our production team as a dedicated offshore resource. This individual will support a wide range of post-production needs, transforming raw footage into polished, engaging, and story-driven video content for client projects and our own marketing initiatives.

The ideal candidate combines strong technical editing skills with creative storytelling ability. They can review interviews, events, and other raw footage, identify the most compelling moments, and shape them into a cohesive story that captures the intended message and emotion.

In addition to supporting client projects, this editor will help us maximize the value of our existing creative assets-including behind-the-scenes footage, past projects, and finished productions-by developing marketing content that promotes our services, offers, and capabilities.

This role requires proficiency in professional editing software, efficient media management, and advanced export optimization. The editor must be comfortable working with large volumes of video footage, including files totaling 100GB or more per day, and delivering high-quality video files optimized for websites, social platforms, and other digital destinations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the production team with a wide range of post-production needs, including editing, assembly, refinement, and final delivery of video projects.
  • Review, organize, and manage large volumes of raw video footage and digital assets, including files stored in Google Drive.
  • Analyze interviews, events, and other footage to identify key messages, compelling sound bites, emotional moments, and narrative opportunities.
  • Transform raw footage into engaging, cohesive stories that align with the creative direction, objectives, and intended audience of each project.
  • Produce polished business profile videos, branded content, promotional videos, and other client deliverables.
  • Create compelling B-roll compilations that enhance storytelling, establish context, and improve the overall visual experience.
  • Edit and mix audio, including dialogue, music, audio overlays, and sound effects, to deliver clear and professional results.
  • Apply appropriate transitions, graphics, visual effects, color adjustments, and other post-production techniques to enhance the final product.
  • Optimize video exports for file size while maintaining visual quality. Understand video codecs, compression, bitrates, resolution, frame rates, and export settings to produce files that meet website and social media upload limits without introducing noticeable pixelation, compression artifacts, excessive noise, or other quality issues.
  • Use Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe Media Encoder to efficiently export, compress, and optimize video files for different platforms and delivery requirements.
  • Create short-form social media clips, captions, subtitles, and dynamic edits that maintain viewer engagement and communicate key messages effectively.
  • Develop marketing and advertising content using existing behind-the-scenes footage, past projects, finished videos, and other creative assets.
  • Translate marketing briefs, sales messaging, promotional offers, and creative direction provided by the team into engaging content that showcases our services and capabilities.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to repurpose existing footage into new promotional videos, advertisements, social media content, and other marketing assets.
  • Manage project files, media assets, timelines, and exports in an organized and efficient manner.
  • Provide realistic estimates of editing time and communicate anticipated timelines, dependencies, and potential challenges to the production team.
  • Update project statuses, progress, and relevant information in Monday.com to support internal coordination and client visibility.
  • Incorporate creative feedback and revisions while maintaining quality, consistency, and agreed-upon deadlines.

Required Technical Skills

  • Candidates should have hands-on experience with the following:
  • Adobe Premiere Pro: Professional video editing, timeline management, audio integration, color adjustments, and export optimization.
  • Adobe After Effects: Motion graphics, animated elements, titles, and visual effects.
  • Adobe Creative Cloud: Familiarity with relevant applications and integrated post-production workflows.
  • Adobe Media Encoder: Export presets, encoding settings, bitrate control, compression, and batch processing.
  • Canva: Creating or adapting visual assets, graphics, and supporting marketing materials.
  • Google Drive: Managing, accessing, and organizing large video files and shared project assets.
  • Video compression and delivery optimization: Practical knowledge of codecs, bitrates, resolution, frame rates, and compression techniques to balance file size, visual quality, and platform requirements.

Preferred Skills and Tools

  • Familiarity with Motion Array for templates, graphics, transitions, and other creative assets.
  • Familiarity with Artlist for music, sound effects, and other licensed creative resources.
  • Experience with Monday.com or similar project management platforms.
  • Experience producing content for digital advertising campaigns and marketing initiatives.
  • Familiarity with workflows for websites, social media platforms, and other digital publishing destinations.

Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following characteristics:

  • Strong storytelling ability: Can analyze interviews, events, and raw footage to identify the most compelling narrative and turn it into an engaging finished product.
  • Creative problem-solving: Can make thoughtful editing decisions about pacing, structure, music, B-roll, graphics, and visual flow.
  • Technical proficiency: Understands professional editing workflows and can balance file size, export efficiency, and visual quality without compromising the final product.
  • Time estimation and project planning: Can assess the scope of an editing assignment and provide realistic estimates by breaking the work into stages, such as interview cutting, story assembly, B-roll selection, music and audio work, graphics, revisions, and final exports. Comfortable explaining what will take time, identifying potential bottlenecks, and recommending realistic timelines rather than automatically agreeing to every deadline.
  • Organization and attention to detail: Maintains well-organized project files and media assets while managing multiple assignments and large quantities of footage.
  • Proactive mindset: Looks for opportunities to improve content, repurpose existing assets, and contribute ideas rather than waiting for step-by-step instructions.
  • Marketing awareness: Understands how editing choices can support a business objective, communicate a value proposition, and encourage an intended audience to take action.
  • Communication and collaboration: Clearly communicates progress, blockers, estimated completion dates, and changing priorities to the production team.
  • Accountability: Keeps project statuses current, meets agreed-upon deadlines, and flags risks early.
  • Adaptability: Can work across different video styles, formats, clients, and creative requirements while maintaining consistent quality.
  • Receptiveness to feedback: Incorporates revisions efficiently and aligns work with the creative vision of the team.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Professional video editing experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro.
  • Experience working with interviews, events, branded content, business videos, or similar professional video projects.
  • Demonstrated storytelling ability and a portfolio showcasing editing, pacing, and narrative structure.
  • Practical experience exporting and compressing videos for digital delivery while maintaining visual quality.
  • Experience working with large video files and cloud-based media workflows.
  • Ability to estimate project effort and communicate realistic production timelines.

Preferred:

  • Experience with Adobe After Effects and motion graphics.
  • Experience creating marketing and advertising content for businesses or creative agencies.
  • Experience repurposing existing footage into new promotional assets.
  • Familiarity with Monday.com or comparable project management tools.
  • Experience collaborating with production teams or managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Marketing and Content Creation

In addition to client work, the editor will help develop content for our own marketing and advertising efforts, particularly during periods of lower client-project demand.

We will provide relevant footage, project assets, background information, sales messaging, promotional offers, and creative direction. The editor will use these resources to develop compelling content that demonstrates our work, highlights our capabilities, and promotes our services.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Reviewing existing project footage, finished productions, and behind-the-scenes assets to identify marketing opportunities.
  • Repurposing existing footage into new promotional videos and advertising creatives.
  • Creating content that communicates the value of our services and supports specific marketing campaigns.
  • Translating provided sales messaging and promotional offers into engaging visual stories.
  • Recommending additional ways to use existing assets across different channels and formats.
  • Working with the internal team to refine creative concepts and deliver marketing assets that align with campaign objectives.

The goal is to apply the same creative and post-production capabilities offered to clients to our own business, making better use of existing assets and creating a consistent pipeline of marketing content.
