Software Developer (Golang) – Singapore

JOB DESCRIPTION

Work Location: Singapore

Open to: Singapore Citizens and Singapore PR holders.

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services, APIs, and microservices using Golang.
• Analyse existing architecture and codebases to understand system behaviour, dependencies, and technical constraints.
• Design and implement scalable, reliable, and maintainable software systems.
• Develop RESTful APIs, integrations, and supporting backend services.
• Build and maintain event-driven, asynchronous, and real-time data processing workflows.
• Work with Kafka or other event-streaming platforms for high-volume data processing.
• Work with SQL and PostgreSQL and contribute to query optimisation and data processing.
• Improve system performance, reliability, scalability, and operational excellence.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues effectively.
• Collaborate with DevOps/Infrastructure teams on deployment, monitoring, automation, and observability.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, testing, and engineering best practices.
• Contribute to platform/application modernisation initiatives.
• Work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional engineering teams.

REQUIREMENTS

• 5+ years of software engineering experience building production-grade applications.
• Strong hands-on experience with Golang.
• Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Good understanding of concurrency, asynchronous processing, and distributed systems.
• Experience with Kafka, event streaming, or real-time data processing platforms.
• Strong SQL knowledge and experience with PostgreSQL or other relational databases.
• Experience building scalable, reliable, and high-performance backend systems.
• Hands-on experience troubleshooting and resolving production issues.
• Experience with cloud environments, preferably Azure or AWS.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes or similar containerisation/orchestration technologies.
• Understanding of modern software architecture, system design, testing, observability, and

  operational practices.

• Good communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with time-series databases, such as TimescaleDB.
• Experience with large-scale time-series data processing.
• Experience with Azure Cloud and Kubernetes.
• Experience contributing to application/platform modernisation initiatives.
• Experience in IoT, utilities, energy, mobility, EV charging, or industrial platforms.
• Familiarity with OCPI/OCPP.
• Experience with Datadog, Sentry, or similar observability tools.
• Experience with Terraform or Infrastructure as Code.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted engineering tools.
