AI Recommendation Developer (Go)

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for an experienced AI Recommendation Developer with expertise in building Recommendation Systems to join our team in developing and optimizing a Retail/E-commerce (Wholesale) platform. You will work with data processing systems, personalization models, and backend services to enhance the customer shopping experience and drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services for recommendation and personalization systems using Go.
• Build and optimize product recommendation algorithms based on user behavior and product data.
• Develop and integrate data processing pipelines for model training, deployment, and operation.
• Integrate systems with Kafka or similar event-streaming platforms.
• Work with Redis, DynamoDB, or other low-latency storage solutions to optimize data access performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional team members to analyze requirements, design solutions, and implement new features.
• Monitor system performance, optimize scalability, and ensure the reliability of the platform.

REQUIREMENTS

• At least 3 years of experience in Backend development using Go.
• Hands-on experience in building Recommendation/Personalization Systems, leveraging one or more of the following approaches: Collaborative Filtering (ALS or equivalent), Item-to-Item Similarity, Content-Based Recommendation
• Experience working with Redis, DynamoDB, or other low-latency data storage systems.
• Experience building batch data pipelines or ETL workflows using one or more of the following technologies: Amazon S3, AWS Glue, Amazon Athena, Apache Spark Or equivalent platforms
• Experience integrating with Kafka or similar event-streaming platforms.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Embedding-Based Retrieval, Vector Databases, k-NN (k-Nearest Neighbors), or ML Model Serving platforms (AWS Bedrock or equivalent).
• Experience designing and implementing A/B Testing, Control/Holdout Groups, or other decision attribution and evaluation frameworks.
• Experience developing personalization, ranking, or Next Best Action systems within the E-commerce domain.
• Experience participating in System Integration (SI) projects with tight delivery timelines and the ability to meet project milestones efficiently.
