Accountant

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reporting packs
• Manage the full accounting function and maintain accurate financial records
• Perform high-volume bank, payment provider, and digital wallet reconciliations
• Reconcile revenue streams, fees, and balance sheet accounts
• Process and oversee payroll administration
• Investigate and resolve transactional discrepancies across multiple platforms
• Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation for external auditors
• Manage month-end processes, including journals, accruals, and reconciliations
• Assist with cash flow monitoring and financial reporting requirements
• Support process improvements and strengthen financial controls
• Take ownership of finance-related responsibilities across the business and operate independently where required

Qualifications

• Accounting or Finance qualification OR Equivalent

Skills and Experience

• Accounting or Finance qualification, or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years' experience within the online betting or gambling industry
• Full-function accounting experience
• Proven experience preparing monthly management accounts
• Strong exposure to high-volume transactional environments
• Payroll processing experience is essential
• Strong reconciliation experience, including banking, payment provider, and digital wallet transactions
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Comfortable working within a start-up or entrepreneurial environment
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
