Finance Operations Associate

Job Description:

• Manage the accounting and reporting processes across various investment portfolios and asset classes
• Perform monthly reconciliations and ensure the accuracy of financial transactions and investment records
• Prepare management reports, financial analyses, and supporting schedules for key stakeholders
• Assist with investment deployment tracking, distributions, liquidations, and cash flow management
• Investigate and resolve reconciling items, variances, and operational finance queries
• Support compliance, audit, and regulatory reporting requirements
• Collaborate with senior finance and investment professionals to improve processes and reporting efficiencies
• Provide insights and analysis to support business and investment decisions
• Mentor and guide junior finance team members where required

Skills & Experience:

• Newly qualified CA(SA) with approximately 2 years of commercial experience
• Strong technical accounting knowledge with a solid understanding of financial reporting principles
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Advanced Excel and data analysis capabilities
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
• Exposure to the investment, financial services, asset management, private equity, or wealth management sectors will be advantageous

Qualification:

• Chartered Accountant CA(SA) - Newly Qualified
• Completed SAICA articles
• Exposure to investments, financial services, or asset management environments would be advantageous
