Job Description

The Sales Trainer leads onboarding and ongoing learning for sales employees, delivering targeted training to strengthen product knowledge, sales processes, and systems expertise. Responsibilities include designing, planning, and conducting training and certification programs using diverse methods, while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to create responsive, business-aligned content that promotes efficiency and productivity. This role acts as a strategic enabler for advertising sales teams, ensuring commercial readiness, operational excellence, and continuous capability development across LinkedIn advertising products and solutions. It supports the rollout of new sales motions, products, and platforms by equipping sellers with tools, insights, and confidence to drive customer success and revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Sales Readiness: Support rollout of new advertising products, platforms, and sales motions by equipping the sales team with required knowledge; develop and execute a consistent readiness framework to ensure ad-sales teams meet and exceed commercial KPIs (e.g., revenue attainment, advertiser satisfaction).
• Training Delivery: Facilitate onboarding and ongoing learning for sales employees; deliver targeted training on products, systems, and sales processes; deliver targeted training and coaching sessions on advertising solution selling, campaign optimization, and client engagement excellence.
• Content Development & Knowledge Management: Design and develop training materials, certification programs, and learning paths; use varied instructional methods (workshops, e-learning, simulations); maintain updated resources and structured documentation and ensure accessibility for global teams.
• Performance Measurement: Track training effectiveness and adoption; provide insights for continuous improvement; conduct skill gap analyses via deal reviews, call shadowing, and CRM insights to design tailored learning and performance improvement plans; facilitate continuous improvement by streamlining ad-sales processes, communication flows, and adoption of global standards for operational excellence.
• Stakeholder Engagement & Capability Uplift: Drive continuous skill development across sales teams to improve productivity and customer success; manage multiple readiness streams and training calendars, adapting to changing timelines and priorities; collaborate with product teams, sales leadership, and external partners to align training with business needs.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience);
• At least 2+ years in training-focused role within digital advertising or SaaS; experience delivering structured training or enablement programs;
• At least 2+ years of coaching experience.

• Sales & Technical Expertise:

• Strong knowledge of modern ad-sales techniques, consultative selling, and customer lifecycle management
• Advanced CRM skills (Salesforce or Dynamics 365) and proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Visio)
• Familiarity with consultative selling methodologies.

• Training & Facilitation Skills:

• Excellent presentation and facilitation skills for large audiences
• Ability to communicate strategies and platforms to varied audiences
• Proven ability to influence stakeholders across marketing, product, and sales functions
• Skilled in delivering engaging, interactive training sessions (virtual and in-person); competence in creating learning content, certification programs, and blended learning experiences.

• Leadership & Project Management:

• Strong executive presence and ability to lead within peer group
• Able to manage multiple readiness streams
• Strong communication and alignment with internal/external partners
• Ability to assess training impact, identify gaps, and optimize programs
• Supporting adoption of new tools, platforms, and processes; proficiency in LMS platforms and virtual training tools.

• Languages: English: Fluent (verbal and written). Fluency in additional language will be considered a plus.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Certification in digital advertising or media platforms or familiarity with digital advertising ecosystems (e.g., LinkedIn Marketing Solutions, Microsoft Advertising Certified Professional, Google Ads Certification, Meta Blueprint).
