Collections Specialist

Summary

The Collections Specialist is responsible for managing the collections queue for a portfolio of client accounts. This role involves following up on overdue invoices, resolving payment delays directly with clients, and updating account and payment status in the billing system. The position requires independent work during US business-hours overlap, handling a high volume of accounts, and managing professional outbound collection calls.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of client accounts, handling overdue invoices.
• Conduct outbound collection calls to clients to resolve payment delays.
• Update account and payment status in the client's billing system after each contact.
• Identify accounts requiring payment plans or escalation for management review.
• Work independently during US business-hours overlap.
• Maintain professionalism in handling firm collection conversations.

Required Skills

• 2+ years of experience in collections, accounts receivable, or a related credit/billing role.
• Comfortable making outbound calls and handling professional payment conversations.
• Experience with ERP or dedicated collections systems for updating account/payment status.
• Strong attention to detail across a high-volume account queue.
• Able to work independently during US business-hours overlap.
• Available Mon-Fri, 9pm-6am Manila (covering US business hours).
• Dual monitor setup, reliable broadband (min. 25 Mbps), and headset for outbound calling.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience collecting for a US healthcare, medical transport, or logistics client.
• Familiarity with dispute resolution and payment-plan negotiation.
• Exposure to NetSuite or a similar billing platform.
