About the role
The Customer Support Specialist helps the client's customers with orders, deliveries, returns, and account questions by phone, email, and chat. The role is accountable for resolving issues quickly, documenting interactions accurately, and meeting targets for response time, resolution rate, quality, and customer satisfaction. It reports to the Customer Support Team Lead and works closely with the sales, warehouse, and billing teams. The client is a mid-market distributor of commercial and industrial supplies serving contractors, facility managers, and purchasing teams.
Required qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
2+ years of customer service experience, preferably in a contact center or BPO.
Excellent spoken and written English.
Experience supporting customers across phone, email, and chat.
Strong problem-solving skills and a calm, professional manner with frustrated customers.
Comfortable working in multiple systems at once, with typing speed of at least 40 WPM.
Reliable home internet connection and a quiet workspace.
Preferred qualifications
Experience in distribution, wholesale, e-commerce, or B2B order management.
Hands-on experience with Zendesk and an ERP such as NetSuite or SAP Business One.
Experience processing returns, credits, or RMAs.
