It hires bridge and roadway design engineers, traffic and transportation project managers, construction engineering and inspection engineers, drainage and water specialists, environmental GIS analysts and project accountants.

What Your Day Will Look Like:

Consor is seeking a motivated and experienced Structural / Bridge Engineer to join our growing Structural / Bridge Engineering Group in our Draper, Utah office. As a dynamic and expanding engineering consulting firm, Consor offers exceptional opportunities for professional growth, leadership development, and long-term career advancement.

The selected candidate will play a key role within a close-knit team, contributing technical expertise to a wide range of structural and bridge design projects. You will collaborate directly with senior structural engineers- including a team lead with more than two decades of transportation project experience while also taking on increasing levels of responsibility, design leadership, and client interaction.

In this role, you will design and check structures of all types, including (but not limited to) highway bridges, pedestrian bridges, culverts, walls, overhead sign structures, and miscellaneous drainage structures. You will be exposed to a diverse portfolio of clients and project types, strengthening both your technical and project-delivery skillsets.

Our group places a strong emphasis on collaboration, cooperation, and a supportive culture-one where team members actively promote one another’s success and enjoy celebrating new achievements as we advance together.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead and support structural and bridge design tasks as part of an integrated engineering team
  • Serve as a technical resource and mentor to junior staff, including EITs
  • Perform structural/bridge analysis, engineering calculations, load-rating evaluations, and design checks
  • Develop and review structural/bridge plans, specifications, estimates, and supporting documents
  • Conduct conceptual engineering studies and provide recommendations
  • Support and lead preliminary engineering and final design efforts
  • Prepare high-quality technical reports and design summaries
  • Coordinate with internal project managers, coworkers, local governments, and UDOT
  • Participate in client meetings, project presentations, and proposal efforts as needed

Salary: $100 - 140k (depending on experience) Compensation for candidates with significant experience beyond the minimum requirements may be considered above this range.

What You'll Need:

  • 4+ years of professional experience in civil/structural engineering with a focus on bridge design
  • Professional Structural Engineer (SE) license, PE, or ability to obtain licensure within a reasonable timeframe
  • Demonstrated experience with bridge design principles, methodologies, and current AASHTO LRFD standards
  • Strong knowledge of concrete and steel design
  • Proficiency with required software, including:
    • Bentley OpenRoads Designer (ORD) or other MicroStation-based platforms
    • Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Beneficial (not required) software experience:
    • Mathcad
    • Erickson Culvert
    • BGS
    • PGSuper
    • RISA
    • LEAP Bridge Suite
    • AutoCAD Civil 3D

What We’re Looking For

  • Someone eager to continue growing technically and professionally
  • A problem-solver who can think critically and communicate clearly
  • A motivated engineer who wants to work in-office with a supportive and fun Draper-based team
• This hybrid job operates between an office environment and a field environment and routinely requires the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones and copy machines. May require occasional exposure to work environments that may include inclement weather, heat, humidity, noise, hazard, atmospheric conditions, and bodies of water, depending on project requirements.• While performing the duties of this job, physical demands of the employee include frequent sitting, moving, standing, talking, hearing, and occasional balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, grasping, and feeling. This job may occasionally require operating a company vehicle, and lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 35 lbs.
