The Role
We're seeking experienced and passionate Audio Technicians to join our Crown Live Theatre team on a casual basis.
Reporting to the Production & Technical Manager, you'll support theatre productions, rehearsals, performances and live events while delivering exceptional audio experiences across Crown Melbourne's entertainment venues
In this role, you will:
- Support audio operations across theatre productions, rehearsals, performances and live events.
- Deliver technical show functions including FOH mixing, monitor engineering, RF coordination and system operation.
- Assist with the setup, testing, maintenance and operation of professional audio systems.
- Work collaboratively with production teams, venue stakeholders and contractors.
- Ensure all activities are delivered safely, compliantly and to the highest technical standards.
You'll bring:
- Experience in live audio engineering within theatre, concerts, events or similar environments.
- Knowledge of digital audio consoles, RF systems, PA systems and audio signal flow.
- Proficiency in QLab 5 or similar show control and playback software.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capability.
- The ability to interpret technical documentation and show specifications.
- Flexibility to work across performances, events and production schedules.
