We are looking for a Data Analyst with strong hands on experience in Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager to improve tracking quality and support a structured analytics implementation. You will combine audit work, implementation, documentation, and collaboration with business and technical stakeholders.

The Analytics Platform project is focused on improving the quality and trustworthiness of web analytics data. You will help align tracking implementation, campaign attribution, and documentation so stakeholders and engineering teams can rely on consistent measurement.

  • Audit GA4 properties, streams, containers, tags, triggers, variables, events, and naming variants.
  • Diagnose duplicate page_view events and other tracking inconsistencies.
  • Audit UTM usage and identify tracking loss across logins, domain hops, and redirects.
  • Define event dictionaries for priority events, custom definitions, key events, and custom channel groups.
  • Establish GTM naming conventions and one workspace per release standards.
  • Implement approved fixes in GTM and GA4 after QA sign off.
  • Write specifications for application side changes including data layer values and acceptance tests.
  • Support UTM rollout through campaign management and tagging documentation.
  • Take part in handover sessions and dry runs with the GA4 owner.
  • Collaborate with the Business Analyst, QA Engineer, Data Architect, IT engineers, and tagging contractor.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in digital analytics or web analytics.
  • Strong hands on experience with Google Analytics 4.
  • Proven experience with Google Tag Manager including tags, triggers, variables, data layer, versioning, and publishing.
  • Experience with UTM and campaign attribution frameworks.
  • Experience diagnosing cross domain and redirect tracking issues.
  • Experience using GA4 DebugView and GTM preview mode.
  • Ability to translate business questions into event and metric definitions.
  • Ability to document analytics definitions clearly.
  • Good written and spoken English.
  • Comfort presenting to client stakeholders.
  • Availability with at least 4 hours of overlap with US East Coast working hours.
  • Familiarity with consent mode.
  • Experience checking personal data in URLs and parameters.
  • Experience with Looker Studio.
  • Experience with BigQuery export of GA4 data.
  • Experience working with IT engineering teams on data layer specifications.
