About the job:

We’re growing our team in Sofia and looking for a Senior Business Intelligence Consultant (Databricks & Python) to join us. You will work directly with our clients – active in energy trading and risk management – to provide analysis, design, implementation, testing, and support services for their front office and risk management activities. You will report to your team lead, as well as internal and external project managers/product owners on your assigned projects.

Responsibilities:

• Work directly with clients to understand their reporting and risk-management needs, and shape solutions around them
• Validate and interpret data to ensure accuracy before it reaches a dashboard or report
• Own the reporting layer end-to-end, from Databricks-based data flows through to Power BI delivery
• Automate and extend data processing using Python where off-the-shelf ETL tools fall short
• Lead client-facing sessions – presenting findings, gathering feedback, and adjusting solutions accordingly
• Mentor and distribute work across junior team members on your projects
• Deliver internal and customer-facing training on BI tools and processes

Requirements:

Technical skills:

• Hands-on Databricks experience is required – you should be comfortable with its Lakehouse architecture (Delta tables, notebooks, workflows), not just aware of it as a platform name
• Python scripting ability – enough to automate and troubleshoot data flows, not just read code
• Power BI experience is a plus
• Strong, hands-on knowledge of relational databases (Snowflake, Oracle, Postgres or similar)

Soft skills:

• Confident presenting to both technical stakeholders and business clients
• Fluent English
• Proven ability to lead and mentor team members
• Comfortable prioritizing across multiple client engagements simultaneously
• A cooperative, „trial-and-error“ mindset
• Willingness to travel occasionally to client sites

You bring:

• Several years in a consulting or client-facing BI/data role, where you owned the relationship as well as the deliverable
