About the role

The Technical Account Manager (TAM) is a customer-facing technical advisor in Dayshape’s Value Optimizers team, part of the Service Delivery Organization. The TAM helps our top enterprise customers maximize the value of their Dayshape environment as quickly as possible. With M&A, PE investment and AI reshaping the professional services market, the TAM works closely with Customer Success to help the customer navigate that change and drive adoption forward from a technical perspective. That means unlocking new features and making integrated data dependable, so firm-wide insights can drive action from Resource Manager level right up to C suite. The TAM will work in depth with two or three of our largest and most complex professional services customers.

The TAM develops a deep understanding of their customer’s technical landscape, including configuration, integrations, data flows, environments, and business requirements. They proactively identify technical risks, optimize use of Dayshape, and uncover opportunities for additional technical services or capabilities. Because value rarely arrives straight after go-live, the TAM provides high-touch, long-term support, staying with the customer as their priorities and scale evolve, and working closely with Customer Success, Support, Product, and Professional Services to provide technical leadership and continuity across the customer lifecycle.

Requirements

What you’ll do

Drive Customer Value

  • Build strong relationships with customer IT administrators, technical leads, system owners, Resource Management professionals and other key stakeholders.
  • Help the customer maximize technical adoption of Dayshape capabilities, new features and best practices.
  • Contribute technical input to account planning, strategic account reviews, QBRs/EBRs and customer governance where appropriate.
  • Partner with Customer Success and the commercial team to surface expansion or product cross-sell opportunities.

Act as a Technical and Functional Consultant

  • Serve as a trusted technical advisor for a small number of strategic enterprise customers, with a detailed understanding of their Dayshape environment, configuration, integrations, data flows, and technical dependencies.
  • Review recurring support trends to identify underlying technical or configuration issues.
  • Provide expert guidance on Dayshape configuration, workflows, integrations, upgrades and environment usage to improve process effectiveness and overall platform value, and identify when more significant changes should be scoped with Professional Services.
  • Advise the customer on the technical implications of organizational change.
  • Provide technical input into customer discovery led by Product or Professional Services, flagging feasibility and constraints.

Collaborate Across Teams

  • Support Customer Success Managers on account strategy, renewal readiness, and risk mitigation, contributing technical insight on customer health (configuration, data quality and integration health).
  • Partner with Professional Services colleagues to identify and scope additional consulting, configuration, integration, optimization, and technical engagements, involving other Dayshape technical specialists when needed.

Be the Voice of the Customer

  • Surface customer insights, challenges and emerging trends, helping improve internal understanding of customer workflows and priorities, and sharing real-world technical feedback with Product so it informs their discussions.
  • Partner with Support on complex issues, providing customer and environment context and proactive technical guidance to drive longer-term resolution.
  • Ensure learnings from significant issues are incorporated into the customer’s technical strategy.

About you

  • Significant experience in Technical Account Management, Solutions or Implementation Consulting, Customer Success Engineering, or a similar customer-facing technical role, supporting the customer beyond go-live
  • Experience working with complex enterprise SaaS customers on software of similar scope, such as ERP, HCM, PSA, workforce planning or resource management solutions
  • Strong understanding of SaaS platforms, integrations, APIs, data flows, and enterprise technical environments, including database concepts and working knowledge of SQL to investigate issues
  • JavaScript skills, enabling the configuration and troubleshooting of workflows, and comfort using AI tools, with the judgment to spot when results look wrong
  • Strong analytical and technical problem-solving skills, including knowing when to involve specialist teams, and the organizational skills to manage competing priorities within high-touch, complex accounts
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions, and complex technical concepts into clear, business-focused recommendations
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, building trusted, long-term relationships with both technical teams and senior business leaders
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to recognize opportunities for additional services and solutions
