Founded in 2016, it keeps an office in Reston and supports programs for military family, Air Force and other defense customers at sites such as Arlington, Atlanta, San Antonio, Portsmouth and Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. Hiring covers cloud, network and zero trust engineers, AI and ML architects, API developers, help desk and customer support technicians, system administrators, SEO specialists and communications strategists.

Overview

DecisionPoint seeks ten Software Developers to develop, test, document, and maintain mission-critical software capabilities for the USMEPCOM ENLIST program. These developers implement approved features, create unit tests, perform maintenance updates, correct defects, and prepare technical documentation supporting secure and reliable software delivery.

The Software Developers work with senior developers, architects, requirements analysts, UI/UX specialists, testers, cybersecurity personnel, DevSecOps engineers, and Government stakeholders throughout the software-development lifecycle. They participate in Agile delivery activities and support software integration, demonstrations, testing, releases, and continuous improvement.

These positions are remote, with Chicago-area candidates preferred.

Note: By applying to this position, you acknowledge and consent to having your resume included in an active competitive government contract bid.

  • Use approved version-control practices, including branches, commits, merges, pull requests, and release tagging.
  • Support continuous integration, automated builds, testing, and deployment activities.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including code comments, interface descriptions, API documentation, build instructions, installation procedures, and release information.
  • Support software integration and troubleshooting across application, database, interface, infrastructure, and cloud components.
  • Collaborate with requirements analysts to clarify requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Collaborate with testers to resolve defects and verify completed corrections.
  • Coordinate with cybersecurity personnel to address identified vulnerabilities and secure-coding concerns.
  • Support Government demonstrations, user acceptance testing, operational validation, and stakeholder feedback.
  • Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily coordination, sprint reviews, demonstrations, and retrospectives.
  • Provide implementation estimates and identify technical dependencies, assumptions, constraints, risks, and impediments.
  • Maintain accurate work status, technical notes, and delivery information in approved Agile and collaboration tools.
  • Support deployment, release-readiness, and post-release validation activities.
  • Protect sensitive data and comply with applicable federal, DoD, security, privacy, and configuration-management requirements.
  • Participate in knowledge sharing, cross-training, and continuous improvement of development and testing practices.
