Backend Test Engineer - AI Agentic

We are seeking an experienced AI Agentic Backend Test Engineer with strong expertise in API automation using Rest Assured to validate AI-driven backend systems, agentic workflows, and microservices architectures. The ideal candidate should have experience testing backend APIs, AI/LLM-integrated services, orchestration workflows, and distributed systems while ensuring scalability, reliability, and accuracy of AI-powered applications.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop automated API test frameworks using Java, Rest Assured, and TestNG/JUnit.
• Validate AI agent workflows, orchestration logic, and backend integrations.
• Test REST/GraphQL APIs, microservices, and event-driven systems.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end backend testing.
• Validate AI/LLM service responses, workflow execution, and error handling.
• Create test scenarios for: Multi-agent workflows, AI orchestration pipelines, and Prompt/response validation.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with backend, DevOps, and AI/ML teams to ensure quality delivery.

Requirements:

• Strong hands-on experience with Java, Rest Assured, and API automation testing.
• Experience testing REST APIs and microservices, Distributed systems and asynchronous workflows.
• Familiarity with Kafka/RabbitMQ or messaging systems, Docker/Kubernetes environments, CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
• Understanding of AI/LLM-based systems and agentic workflows.
• Knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5-8 years of backend/API automation testing experience.
• Exposure to AI/GenAI applications preferred.
