Senior Planner
The opportunity
At Downer Energy & Utilities, we deliver some of Australia's most important infrastructure projects across power, water and utility networks. We are seeking an experienced Senior Planner to lead planning and scheduling activities across major projects and tenders.
Reporting to the Lead Planner, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining and monitoring project schedules that support successful project delivery. Working closely with bid teams, project managers, construction teams, clients and subcontractors, you will provide critical planning insights that enable informed decision making and project success.
What we're looking for
You are a highly capable planner with extensive construction project experience and a strong understanding of planning principles, project controls and schedule management.
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Minimum 10 years experience in project planning and scheduling within power, water, utilities, transmission, substation, networks or shutdown environments
- Advanced Primavera P6 experience and competency
- Strong understanding of Critical Path Method scheduling and delay analysis techniques
- Experience preparing and maintaining detailed project delivery schedules
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience with earned value, schedule performance and cost performance reporting
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem solving
- Ability to influence stakeholders and work collaboratively across project teams
