About the role
The Manufacturing IT Manager is responsible for delivering reliable, high-quality IT, System Engineering, and Test Engineering services that support manufacturing operations and overall business objectives.
This role focuses on building and leading a collaborative and high-performing team environment, ensuring clarity of expectations, accountability, and consistent execution across functions.
A key part of the role is maintaining effective communication with stakeholders-both customers and internal teams-by providing transparent updates on priorities, progress, and risks. The Manufacturing IT Manager engages confidently in customer discussions with a strong technical understanding to represent IT operations effectively.
How you will contribute
1. Customer Experience & Service Delivery
- Ensure the consistent delivery of reliable, high-quality, and transparent IT services aligned with customer expectations.
- Participate in customer meetings (e.g., Ops Reviews, QBRs) and present structured updates on priorities, progress, risks, and outcomes.
- Translate customer and stakeholder needs into practical, well-defined solutions.
2. People Leadership & Team Effectiveness
- Lead, support, and develop a collaborative team with clear roles, priorities, and expectations.
- Foster teamwork, knowledge sharing, and consistent ways of working across all functions.
- Support employee growth, engagement, and capability uplift.
- Collaborate with the Manufacturing leadership team to drive improvements across the broader operations environment.
3. Performance Management & Operational Control
- Establish and maintain a clear performance management framework with defined KPIs and regular review cycles.
- Monitor performance using data-driven insights to identify gaps and drive corrective actions.
- Ensure operational delivery aligns with customer expectations, quality standards, and broader business goals.
4. Reporting, Governance & Visibility
- Maintain a standardized reporting structure, including dashboards covering priorities, timelines, status, and updates.
- Ensure consistent tracking and communication of projects, operational priorities, and improvements in governance forums.
- Provide accurate, timely, and well-structured updates to support decision-making and alignment.
5. Project & Portfolio Delivery
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of key projects, ensuring progress is monitored, risks are mitigated, and outcomes are achieved.
- Coordinate inputs across requirements, testing, stakeholder management, and dependencies.
- Address external constraints by ensuring clear follow-up, escalation, and readiness for implementation with documented plans.
What you will bring
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of Windows platforms, products, and relevant enterprise tools (e.g., JIRA for workflows and project tracking).
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams with clarity, structure, and a focus on collaboration, accountability, and performance.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to deliver clear, structured updates and build trusted stakeholder relationships.
- Hands-on technical experience supporting stable, secure, and scalable IT environments, including monitoring, lifecycle management, and continuous improvement.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to translate issues into actionable plans and deliver results.
- Preferred but not required: Knowledge of infrastructure/datacenter operations (e.g., virtualization, storage, networking, high availability) and/or enterprise systems such as Active Directory, Azure/Office365, DNS/DHCP, certificates, and backup solutions.
