We're looking for a motivated and hands-on Warehouse Team Leader to join our Contract Logistics operation. In this role, you'll lead a team of warehouse operatives, coordinate daily activities, and help ensure that customer expectations are met safely, accurately, and efficiently.

What you'll do
- Lead and coordinate a team of Warehouse Operatives to achieve daily operational targets.
- Allocate tasks and workloads to ensure efficient warehouse performance.
- Conduct team briefings and communicate operational priorities clearly.
- Monitor team productivity, quality standards, and service performance.
- Oversee inbound and outbound warehouse activities, including receiving, picking, packing, dispatch, replenishment, and value-added services.
- Ensure customer requirements and service level agreements (SLAs) are consistently achieved.
- Support inventory accuracy through effective stock control processes and procedural compliance.
- Promote a positive team culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure all activities are carried out safely and in line with company health and safety standards.
- Maintain high housekeeping and warehouse compliance standards.
- Identify operational challenges and implement practical solutions to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Support the training, onboarding, and development of new and existing team members.
- Work closely with supervisors, managers, and colleagues across the operation to ensure smooth workflow and effective shift handovers.
About you
- Previous experience within a warehouse, logistics, or distribution environment.
- Team Leader, supervisory, or people-coordination experience is advantageous.
- Good understanding of warehouse operations, including inbound, outbound, and inventory control processes.
- Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and handheld scanning technology.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and manage workloads in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Commitment to health, safety, quality, and customer service excellence.
- Ability to motivate and support others to achieve shared goals.
- A proactive, hands-on approach with a positive attitude.
