Scripps is seeking a dynamic Account Executive, SMB Growth & Direct Responseto drive our advertising transformation by building powerful client partnerships and executing innovative cross-platform media solutions. WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with direct response agencies, performance marketers, SMB clients, mid-market advertisers and trading desks to drive revenue growth and market expansion.
  • Identify client needs and craft tailored media solutions that leverage Scripps' linear, CTV, and premium sports inventory.
  • Drive incremental revenue growth by selling Scripps' suite of performance-driven advertising products, cross-platform packages, and scalable activation models.
  • Negotiate high-value, complex DR and SMB partnership deals with a focus on measurable outcomes such as cost per action (CPA), return on ad spend (ROAS), conversion rates, and client key performance indicator (KPI) achievement.
  • Effectively research and cultivate new business targets within performance marketing and SMB segments.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, such as pricing and inventory, marketing and research, to optimize campaign performance, inventory allocation, and yield optimization.
  • Educate clients and agencies on Scripps' innovative performance solutions, including attribution technologies, programmatic buying platforms, and premium sports inventory.
  • Execute premium sports inventory sales strategies that leverage performance-driven advertising, local market activation, and CTV extensions for SMB category growth.
  • Provide regular performance reporting, data-driven insights, and strategic recommendations to clients with focus on campaign optimization and ROI improvement.
  • Maintain a thorough and extensive knowledge of the marketplace including category and industry trends, competitive capabilities, direct response best practices, and performance marketing innovations.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

  • BS/BA in a related discipline preferred or equivalent years of experience
  • Generally, 5+ years of experience in related field preferred

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

  • Proven track record in direct response or performance driven advertising preferred
  • Proven success managing relationships with SMB advertisers, mid-market clients, performance marketing agencies, and trading desks
  • Experience with sports advertising and premium inventory monetization preferred
  • Deep understanding of linear TV, CTV, programmatic buying platforms, attribution technologies, inventory management systems, and performance measurement tools
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills with ability to handle complex, high-value partnership deals
  • Ability to analyze performance data, interpret industry trends, and craft data-driven media solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively across finance, operations, pricing, and marketing
  • Commercially astute with consistent track record of achieving or exceeding revenue targets and established goals
  • Computer knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and programmatic buying platforms
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced team setting

COMPENSATION RANGE:

Annual Salary: $165,000.00 - 190000Pursuant to state and local salary transparency laws, the salary range posted is specific to candidates who will perform this work in New York.
