What you’ll do:

We are seeking a highly driven and strategic Suppliers & Outsourcing Project Lead to support our rapidly growing manufacturing organization. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing supplier and outsourcing strategies to ensure scalability, cost efficiency, and high-quality delivery. You will act as a key interface between internal stakeholders and external partners, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

Supplier Strategy & Management

• Develop and execute supplier and outsourcing strategies aligned with company growth plans
• Onboard new suppliers and contract manufacturers according to category strategies
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and partners
• Monitor supplier performance (quality, cost, delivery, capacity) and drive continuous improvement

Outsourcing & Make-or-Buy Decisions

• Lead make-or-buy analyses and outsourcing decisions according to gate-model approach
• Define and implement outsourcing frameworks to support business scaling
• Manage the transition of production from in-house to external partners (and vice versa)
• Ensure proper knowledge transfer and industrialization processes

Project Leadership

• Lead cross-functional projects related to supplier transitions, outsourcing initiatives, and supply chain optimization
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards
• Coordinate with engineering, operations, procurement, and quality teams

Risk & Performance Management

• Identify potential supply risks and implement mitigation strategies
• Drive supplier performance improvements through KPIs and structured reviews
• Ensure compliance with contractual agreements, quality standards, and regulatory requirements

Cost & Efficiency Optimization

• Drive cost reduction initiatives through supplier negotiations and process improvements
• Optimize supply base footprint to support scalability and flexibility
• Support long-term capacity planning with suppliers"

Qualifications:

• Several years of experience in project management. Preferably on outsourcing and procurement management.
• Master or Bachelor level on appropriate science

Skills:

• Project management skills & tools
• Ability to lead change, negotiations skills, communication skills, project management skills, financial understanding related to project, influencing skills
• Fluent Finnish and English
• Coordination skills with various stakeholders
