We are looking for a Middle School Art Teacher for a K12 international school located in Chengdu. This is a full-time position available for an immediate start, with a start date no later than the end of February 2027.

Job details

Teach Art to middle school students, tailoring lessons to their developmental stage and individual needs
Organise art exhibitions and creative activities that give students a platform to showcase their work
Design an innovative art curriculum that brings in diverse cultural and artistic elements
Manage the classroom with a positive, nurturing atmosphere, supporting each student's progress and wellbeing
Communicate regularly with parents and offer guidance on their child's creative growth
Keep up with trends in international art education and continue developing your own practice
Maximum of 25 teaching periods per week, with occasional weekend or after-school work for student activities and competitions

Requirements

Excellent spoken and written English, with clear pronunciation
Bachelor's degree or above in Fine Arts, Art Education or a related subject
At least 2 years of art teaching experience at middle school level, ideally in an international school
Recognised teaching qualification
Specialism in either 2D or 3D art; experience organising art exhibitions strongly preferred
Passionate, responsible, and a strong team player in a multicultural setting
