Job Description:
A group of schools with branches in Fifth Settlement and El Shorouk is hiring a Purchasing Officer to join the Procurement Department.
The position will be responsible for handling day-to-day purchasing activities and ensuring the timely availability of required materials, supplies, and services for the group’s branches.
Job Responsibilities:
Receive and review purchase requests from different departments and branches.
Obtain and compare quotations from suppliers.
Negotiate prices, delivery dates, and payment terms when required.
Issue and follow up on purchase orders.
Communicate with suppliers and follow up on deliveries.
Search for new suppliers and maintain an updated supplier database.
Follow up on product availability, prices, and market changes.
Coordinate with the Finance, Stores, and other departments regarding purchases.
Ensure that purchased items meet the required specifications and quality standards.
Follow up on invoices and required purchasing documents.
Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation.
Prepare purchasing reports when required.
Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies and procedures.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.
4-5 years of relevant experience in purchasing/procurement.
Previous experience in schools or multi-branch organizations is preferred.
Good negotiation and communication skills.
Good knowledge of purchasing procedures.
Good command of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
Experience with ERP/procurement systems is preferred.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
