Application Engineer

Job Summary:

If you have some background with costing special products, Emerson has an exciting role for you! You will be the Key contact in Asia pacific when price optimization or costing needs to be done for special products. Work with the internal factory team to setup part numbers and provide the pricing for special constructions or materials based on the nature of the project.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Provide Quotation support for Key MIB projects for AP. Work with Regional Sales to understand project win price, preferred products, acceptable deviations etc

• Review project specifications and prepare deviations list

• Clarify doubts on technical specifications through conference calls with Sales office/LBP

• Sizing and selection of regulators using FisherFirst2 software

• Contact WA factory as and when required for critical application solutions/special prices

• Prepare Technical and Commercial Quote, technical deviations list and generate reports and drawings

• Participate in internal kickoff meetings,Technical Bid Evaluation meetings, Customer meetings etc.

• Provide support on project revisions from Customer

• Support Sales office after the issue of PO till order entry and assist with Change Orders

• Develop to be a core part of the Regulators training team at FCEC and handle internal trainings

• Maintain records of all work done.

Who You Are:

• You have good attention to details and are able toprovide timely and accurate quotations. You ensure that the pricing is optimal for improving the project win rate while maintaining project margins. You quickly and significantly take action in constantly evolving, unexpected situations. You actively seek input from pertinent sources to make timely and well-informed decisions. Works collaboratively with Sales team and factory in Asia.

For This Role, You Will Need:

• Bachelors degree in Engineering

• Knowledge of pressure relief valves and regulators

• Strong communication skills in English - both written and verbal

• Proficiency in MS Office

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

• Knowledge of SAP and ORACLE

• Prefer 2 years’ industry work experience with experience in project costing or with providing pricing support for projects.

• Learning agility for fast learning of work processes to provide solutions that are technically proficient and on time
