Job Summary
Emerson Automation Solutions, Isolation Valves is looking for an Application Engineer to support Isolation Valve and Actuation product opportunities across Qatar, Kuwait, Iraq, and Jordan.
This role serves as a key technical and commercial resource supporting customers, channel partners, and the outside sales team by delivering application expertise, accurate quotations, and value-added solutions that enhance customer satisfaction and business growth.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Qualify customer requests for quotation to ensure the proposed solution meets application and operational requirements.
- Prepare customer quotations that are technically accurate, commercially competitive, and submitted within agreed timelines.
- Convert MRO replacement inquiries into solution-selling opportunities by understanding customer challenges and proposing value-added solutions.
- Maintain CRM data integrity and support win/loss analysis activities.
- Work closely with factories and Business Development Managers to maximize local quotation capability and improve quotation accuracy.
- Prepare quotations using Oracle CPQ and maintain related opportunity records in CRM.
- Coordinate with Order Management teams to ensure smooth order handovers and complete supporting documentation.
- Participate in customer kick-off meetings when required.
- Achieve department KPIs, including quote response time, service levels, and hit ratio targets.
- Ensure compliance with Emerson trade compliance policies and business procedures.
- Support additional business requirements and projects as assigned.

For This Role, You Will Need
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 2-4 years of experience within the valve industry.
- Experience in technical quotations, application engineering, or inside sales activities.
- Strong understanding of valve and actuation products and applications.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and quotation management processes.
- Strong communication and customer engagement skills.
- Fluency in English and Arabic.
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart
- Experience with major valve OEMs in Application Engineering or Inside Sales roles.
- Experience supporting actuator and control accessory products.
- Experience working with customers across the Middle East and Africa region.
- Knowledge of Oracle CPQ and CRM systems.
- Strong commercial awareness and solution-selling capabilities.
