• Newly created position overseeing facilities management in Victoria
• Deliver maintenance, compliance & asset management for a portfolio of hotel and retail venues
• Based in Melbourne with some travel across Victoria

As a Facilities Manager, you’ll deliver operational maintenance, compliance, and asset management across a state portfolio of hotel and retail venues.

You will drive operational uptime for venue teams, manage trade contractors, oversee capital works, and maximise the efficiency of our internal Facilities Management System.

Here is a taster of what you can expect in this role:

Operations & Asset Management:

• Oversee preventative and reactive maintenance across all hotel sites to minimise venue downtime.
• Conduct regular physical site inspections across the hotel locations to audit asset conditions, evaluate repair quality, identify hazards, and assist venue teams with complex facilities issues.

Internal FMS Management:

• Drive compliance, ticket resolution, work order routing, and SLA tracking using our internal facilities management system.
• Train venue teams to log jobs effectively.

Contractor & Vendor Oversight:

• Manage preferred trade vendors, ensure competitive pricing ,PPM compliance, review job completion quality, and hold suppliers to strict SLAs.

Budget & Capex/Opex Control:

• Monitor maintenance expenditure, review contractor invoices against system approvals, and assist with annual maintenance budgets and capex and dilapidation projects.

Compliance & Safety:

• Ensure all venues meet state WHS regulations, fire safety standards, building codes, and essential safety measures.

Stakeholder Engagement:

• Act as the primary escalation point for Venue Managers and venue staff, delivering regular status updates and site audit reviews.

Now let’s talk about you:

• 5+ years Facilities Management experience and/or 10 years operational experience in hotels.
• Demonstrated experience in management of maintenance activities and contractor management.
• Strong business acumen with demonstrated business planning and high-level financial knowledge and skills.
• Able to respond quickly to change and adopt a flexible/ innovative approach to problems and opportunities.
• Knowledge and experience in the use of Integrated Asset Management Systems (IAMS).
