Senior Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer to design and deliver scalable, high-performing marketing solutions.

In this role, you will architect end-to-end technical implementations, build sophisticated multi-channel campaigns, and lead integrations between Salesforce Marketing Cloud and enterprise data platforms. You will also play a key role in setting development standards and mentoring other engineers on the team.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute end-to-end technical solutions in Salesforce Marketing Cloud, ensuring scalability, security, and alignment with industry best practices
• Build complex multi-channel marketing campaigns using Journey Builder, Automation Studio, and Email Studio
• Develop campaign assets and interactive experiences leveraging MobileConnect and CloudPages
• Write efficient AMPscript, SSJS (Server-Side JavaScript), and SQL queries for personalized dynamic content and data processing
• Create HTML/CSS templates to support dynamic, responsive content delivery
• Configure and maintain Marketing Cloud Connect (MCC), custom REST/SOAP API integrations, and Webhooks to sync real-time data between SFMC and enterprise data platforms
• Architect data extensions to enable seamless data flow across systems
• Optimize SQL query performance, maintain data schemas and hygiene, and manage system limits (e.g., API limits, data extension optimization)
• Establish development standards and conduct thorough code reviews
• Document technical workflows and architectural decisions
• Mentor mid-level and junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on software development experience with at least 3+ years dedicated to technical engineering within Salesforce Marketing Cloud
• Deep proficiency in AMPscript, SSJS, and SQL
• Expertise in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript
• Advanced experience with Journey Builder, Automation Studio, and CloudPages
• Qualifications in Data Designer, Contact Builder, and Email Studio
• Familiarity with Mobile Studio for cross-channel campaign execution
• Proven background in configuring Marketing Cloud Connect (CRM integration) and building API-driven integrations using SFMC REST and SOAP APIs
• Strong understanding of relational data modeling, data extensions, and SQL optimization
• Capability to manage large-scale data imports and exports
• English proficiency at an Upper-Intermediate level (B2) or higher

Nice to have

• Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud Developer (strongly preferred)
• Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud Administrator or Consultant
• Familiarity with Salesforce Core (Sales/Service Cloud), Data Cloud (formerly CDP), or Interaction Studio (Personalization)
• Knowledge of CI/CD practices and Git version control
• Showcase of automated deployment tools for SFMC (e.g., ACCE, CumulusCI, SFMC Package Manager)
