Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. EquipmentShare is hiring a Junior eCommerce Web Developer (Front-End) to help build and maintain customer-facing experiences across its eCommerce platforms. The role works with product and senior developers on front-end development, accessibility, collaboration, and learning.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with product and senior developers to understand requirements and considerations
- Translate visual designs into completed HTML pages while adhering to design specifications (we use Webflow)
- Write, test, and debug HTML, CSS, and JavaScript according to internal standards and guidelines, with support from senior team members
- Assist with ensuring cross-browser compatibility and compliance with accessibility guidelines
- Collaborate with teammates to deliver quality solutions under the guidance of senior developers
- Participate in code reviews to learn best practices and improve technical skills
- Ask questions and seek assistance proactively when facing unfamiliar problems
- Take ownership of smaller, well-defined tasks and grow into larger project ownership over time
Skills
- Foundational experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript and UX tools (Figma)
- Eagerness to learn frameworks such as React and modern front-end tooling
- Must be qualified to work in the United States - we are not sponsoring any candidates at this time
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to seek help when needed
- 0-2 years of professional or project-based web development experience (internships, bootcamp projects, or coursework count)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or related field, or equivalent self-directed/bootcamp experience
- Exposure to or coursework/project experience with cloud-based CMS platforms (Webflow, WordPress, Shopify) is a plus
- Familiarity with eCommerce concepts is a plus but not required
