Director - AI & Data
Solution Shaping & Delivery Leadership | London (hybrid, UK client travel)
Lead the AI and data agenda for a sector, function or strategic account, shaping client priorities and turning complex business challenges into measurable outcomes.
The opportunity
Our UK AI & Data practice helps organisations across Government, Life Sciences, Consumer Products, Retail, Utilities and Telecommunications realise value from AI and data. As a Director, you will be a recognised senior adviser, combining industry insight, technical credibility and delivery leadership to grow trusted client relationships and lead high-quality transformation.
Your key responsibilities
- Build trusted relationships with CxOs, functional leaders and technology leaders, setting their AI and data strategy, roadmap and value case.
- Translate business problems into scalable AI and data solutions, including the required platforms, operating model and change.
- Own pipeline and growth for your sector, function or account; originate, shape and close large, multi-practice opportunities.
- Provide senior technical authority across Microsoft, Databricks or Snowflake, including GenAI and agentic AI.
- Lead a portfolio of engagements, accountable for quality, commercial performance and outcomes through blended UK and offshore teams.
- Develop alliance-led propositions, market points of view, accelerators and go-to-market activity.
- Build and coach a high-performing team and contribute to practice strategy and investment decisions.
Skills and attributes for success
You will combine client focus, commercial judgement and inclusive leadership with the ability to connect business outcomes to robust AI and data delivery.
To qualify for the role you must have
- Deep industry expertise in Government, Life Sciences, Consumer Products, Retail, Utilities or Telecommunications, or deep functional expertise in customer, finance, procurement or supply chain.
- A strong record as a trusted adviser to senior stakeholders, translating business problems into AI and data solutions delivered at scale.
- Senior technical credibility in at least one of Microsoft, Databricks or Snowflake, with experience assuring solution quality.
- Proven success originating significant work, growing client relationships and leading blended delivery teams.
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Experience building propositions, practices or alliance relationships.
- Knowledge of responsible AI and relevant regulation, such as UK GDPR, the EU AI Act or sector standards.
- An established network in the target sector or function; security clearance or eligibility for Government work is advantageous.
