Within the Consulting service line, our Technology & Innovation practice is at the cutting edge of innovation and transformation within the financial services industry. We leverage technology to solve complex business challenges, while helping our clients manage risk and improve their performance.

Our consultants work on the most relevant topics in the industry, with a strong focus on credit risk transformation, such as:

  • Designing and implementing credit risk systems (origination, decisioning, rating models, limit management, IFRS 9 engines)
  • Streamlining and digitalizing credit processes across the lending lifecycle (onboarding, underwriting, monitoring, collections)
  • Integrating risk data platforms and regulatory reporting solutions
  • Enhancing data quality, model governance, and risk analytics capabilities
  • Conducting IT and business assessments in credit risk environments

We are capable, passionate professionals who are excited about growing their careers by working on projects critical to the financial services sector, through roles such as Project Manager, Business Analyst, Technical Analyst, Scrum Master, Product Owner, Technical Lead, Architect, etc.

The Opportunity

We are currently looking to reinforce our team with Technical Analysts specialized in credit risk systems, who are ready to harness their technical expertise, knowledge of the financial industry and agile mindset to make a transformative impact on our clients’ businesses.

As a Technical Analyst, you will play a critical role in shaping credit risk technology landscapes within banks and financial institutions. With at least 1 to 6 years of relevant experience and a background in financial services, you’ll be an invaluable part of teams delivering transformation across risk architectures and platforms.

This role is ideal for a driven individual with an outspoken ambition to further grow their expertise in credit risk systems, data, and architecture, while developing leadership skills.

Key responsibilities

Your responsibilities include:

  • Analyzing the AS-IS credit risk architecture and identifying gaps towards target systems (e.g., origination platforms, rating engines, IFRS 9 solutions, data warehouses), including integrations, APIs and data flows
  • Supporting solution design by developing diagrams, models and design documents (UML, ArchiMate) for credit risk systems and end-to-end lending flows
  • Contributing to credit risk system architecture, including components such as decision engines, scoring/rating services, collateral management and exposure calculation
  • Conducting technology research on emerging risk platforms, regulatory requirements (e.g., IFRS 9, Basel, CRR), and architectural patterns for risk systems
  • Building prototypes or proof-of-concepts for risk data pipelines, integrations, or analytical components
  • Documenting architecture and solutions, including system landscapes, data models, and design specifications for credit risk platforms
  • Collaborating with stakeholders (risk, IT, data, business) to align on architecture, requirements, and delivery priorities across the credit lifecycle
  • Analyzing and validating requirements, ensuring that credit risk solutions meet regulatory, business, and operational needs
  • Continuous learning in credit risk methodologies, data architectures, and software design principles

Required qualifications

  • Educational background: Master’s degree in computer science or a related technical field, with a demonstrated affinity for the risk or quantitative domain. A strong academic foundation in areas such as data structures, algorithms, statistics, or financial mathematics is highly valued, along with exposure to topics like risk modelling, analytics, or quantitative methods applied within financial services.
  • Professional experience:

1 to 6 years of experience in consulting and/or financial services, with exposure to credit risk, lending, or risk data environments

  • Technical expertise:
    • Understanding of the Software Delivery Lifecycle and experience working in Agile teams
    • Experience with APIs and integrations (RESTful services, API management), preferably in risk or data-intensive environments
    • Experience working on credit risk systems or related data platforms (e.g., origination, IFRS 9, data warehouses)
    • Understanding of data modelling, risk data flows, and regulatory reporting architectures
    • Foundation in cloud computing, service-oriented architecture, and microservices design
  • Other skills:
    • Strong analytical skills, conceptual thinking, and pragmatic problem-solving
    • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
    • Ability to collaborate effectively across technical and business teams
    • Certifications such as Agile (Scrum, Product Owner) or Cloud (Azure) are a plus
  • Language proficiency:

Fluent in Dutch and/or French, with strong business English
