Position Summary
The Technical Program Manager I (TPM I) is the entry point into the Technical Program Management profession at F5. This role is designed for early-career talent who demonstratestrong analytical thinking, collaboration skills, technical curiosity, and a passion for driving outcomes through influence rather than authority. The TPM I partnersclosely with Product Management, Engineering, Architecture, Security, and business stakeholders to support the planning, coordination, and execution of technical initiatives.
Working under the guidance of experienced Technical Program Managers, the TPM I developsfoundational program management skills while learning how to navigate technical systems, manage risks and dependencies, facilitatecross-functional alignment, and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Successful TPM Iemployees progressively build the capabilities requiredto independently lead complex cross-functional programs and advance within the TPM profession.
Primary Responsibilities
Support the planning, execution, and delivery of technical programs and workstreams under the guidance of senior TPMs.
Partner with Product, Engineering, Architecture, Security, and business stakeholders to understand requirements, document scope, and coordinate delivery activities.
Create and maintainproject plans, schedules, status reports, action items, risk registers, dependency trackers, and other program documentation.
Facilitate project meetings, Agile ceremonies, and cross-functional planning activities to ensure effective communication and alignment.
Monitor program progress, identifyrisks and blockers, and escalate issues appropriately.
Assistwith resource planning, capacity forecasting, milestone tracking, and delivery reporting.
Analyze program metrics and project data to identifytrends, opportunities, and areas requiring attention.
Support stakeholder communications through presentations, dashboards, executive summaries, and status updates.
Participate in continuous improvement efforts by identifyingways to improve delivery processes, transparency, and team effectiveness.
Develop technical acumen by working closely with engineers and architects to understand system architecture, dependencies, integrations, and software delivery practices.
Learn and apply TPM best practices, methodologies, tools, and frameworks across a variety of business and technology initiatives.
ResponsiblyleverageAI and productivity tools to improve planning, documentation, reporting, analysis, and program execution.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Experience using AI tools to streamline workflows and automate tasks

Basic understanding of project or program management principles, including scope, schedule, risks, issues, and dependencies.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office products including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Ability to work effectively in Agile, hybrid, or traditional delivery environments.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to follow-through.
Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and Scrum practices.
Experience using Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, Smartsheet, or similar collaboration tools.
Understanding ofSoftware Development Lifecycle (SDLC) concepts.
Exposure tocloud technologies, SaaS products, cybersecurity, enterprise systems, data platforms, or infrastructure technologies.
Experience leading team projects, student organizations, hackathons, or other collaborative initiatives.
Interestin pursuing a career in Technical Program Management.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business, Mathematics, or a relateddiscipline.
0-2 years of professional experience.
Prior internship, co-op, research, leadership, or project experience preferred.
Demonstrated ability to work in collaborative, team-oriented environments.

The annual base pay for this position is: $81,600.00 - $122,400.00F5 maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, geographic locations, and market conditions, as well as to reflect F5’s differing products, industries, and lines of business.
