Microsoft Fabric / Power BI Developer

Main tasks

• Maintain and develop Microsoft Fabric and Power BI solutions within a large-scale Data Analytics environment.
• Develop and enhance reporting and analytics solutions, addressing new business requirements across multiple business areas.
• Design and implement data models, including star schema modelling.
• Develop and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards using DAX and Power Query (M).
• Work with Microsoft Fabric components, including Lakehouse, Warehouse, Dataflows Gen2, Data Pipelines and Notebooks.
• Manage Power BI Service functionalities, including workspaces, deployment pipelines, data gateways, incremental refresh and row-level security.
• Consume and integrate data from cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Azure SQL and Synapse.
• Optimise the performance of semantic models and reports.
• Discuss business requirements, define KPIs and translate them into effective technical solutions.
• Work across multiple projects, applying a consulting mindset focused on value generation.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams in an international environment.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of professional experience as a Power BI Developer.
• Strong experience in data modelling, particularly star schema, DAX and Power Query (M).
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, including Lakehouse, Warehouse, Dataflows Gen2, Data Pipelines and Notebooks.
• Experience with Power BI Service, including workspaces, deployment pipelines, data gateways, incremental refresh and row-level security.
• Strong SQL skills and experience consuming data from cloud data platforms.
• Experience optimising semantic models and report performance.
• Ability to understand and discuss business requirements, define KPIs and translate them into technical solutions.
• Consulting experience with a value-generation mindset.
• Ability to manage and contribute to multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Good organisational skills and familiarity with Office productivity tools.
• Advanced communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, particularly in customer-facing environments.

Nice to have

• Technical knowledge of SAP modules, particularly FI, SD and MM.
• Knowledge of Snowflake and dbt.
• Microsoft certifications such as PL-300 (Power BI Data Analyst) or DP-600 (Fabric Analytics Engineer).
• Experience with version control and CI/CD for Power BI / Fabric, including Git integration and PBIP.
• Familiarity with Agile frameworks.
• Experience working with distributed teams and customers across different countries and time zones.
