Qualifications

  • Minimun Certificate in Fiber optics or related field.
  • Atleast 1+ years of experience in a similar role.
  • Basic understanding of fiber network concepts.
  • Proficiency in fiber handling & maintenance.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installing and terminating fiber optic cables and other network equipment.
  • Resolving Loss of Service and Connections within SLA. Ensure tickets are updated timely and closed with clears once resolved.
  • Observing Health & Safety guidelines and ensuring quality assurance throughout the implementation and maintenance period.
  • Educating clients on basic troubleshooting processes and answering fiber optic related questions from customers.
  • Individuals will work as a team with other technicians and NOC personnel and report to field supervisors.
  • Fiber link faulting and faults resolutions within the Service Level Agreement SLA.
  • Splicing fiber optics at various fiber distribution hubs, troubleshooting and testing fiber links with a light source, optical power meters and an OTDR.
  • Providing timely updates on fiber faults to the NOC personnel and ensuring excellent customer service to the client.
  • Any other duty that may be assigned from time to time.
