Subject Matter Expert - CPG

We are looking for a CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) Subject Matter Expert with deep domain knowledge spanning both traditional trade and modern trade within a global context. This role requires strong functional expertise in Revenue Growth Management (RGM) for modern trade, Sales Analytics for traditional trade, and Integrated Business Planning (IBP) across channels, enabling clients to drive smarter commercial and supply chain decisions across their CPG business.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the functional SME for CPG engagements, advising on domain strategy across traditional and modern trade channels.
• Lead solutioning and functional design for RGM initiatives, pricing, promotions, trade spend optimization, and mix management specifically for modern trade.
• Drive sales analytics frameworks for traditional trade distributor performance, route-to-market effectiveness, primary/secondary sales, and outlet-level insights.
• Guide IBP (Integrated Business Planning) initiatives across channels, aligning demand planning, supply planning, and commercial forecasting.
• Partner with data engineering and analytics teams to translate CPG business requirements into scalable data and analytics solutions.
• Own functional requirement gathering, gap analysis, and solution design across commercial, sales, and supply chain domain areas.
• Collaborate with client business stakeholders (category, trade marketing, sales, and supply chain) to identify pain points and recommend data-driven solutions.
• Support end-to-end project lifecycle from requirement gathering and solutioning through delivery and adoption.
• Contribute to pre-sales activities, including solution scoping, effort estimation, and proposal support for CPG-focused opportunities.
• Stay current on evolving CPG industry trends, RGM best practices, and channel dynamics across global markets.

Requirements:

• Strong domain expertise in the CPG industry, with working knowledge of both traditional trade and modern trade dynamics in a global context.
• Hands-on functional experience with Revenue Growth Management (RGM) pricing, promotion, trade spend, and mix specifically for modern trade.
• Strong background in sales analytics for traditional trade distributor/outlet-level performance and route-to-market insights.
• Experience with IBP (Integrated Business Planning) processes across sales, demand, and supply channels.
• Ability to translate business/functional requirements into specifications for data engineering and analytics teams.
• Strong stakeholder management and client-facing consulting experience.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage both business and technical audiences.

Good to Have:

• Prior experience working with global CPG/FMCG brands (P& G, Unilever, Nestl, Reckitt, etc. ).
• Exposure to modern MMM or RGM platforms/tools.
• Experience in a consulting or professional services environment.
• Experience supporting RFP/SOW solutioning for CPG-focused engagements.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) for commercial/sales reporting.
