Responsibilities:
The Yard Operator is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organised yard environment. The role requires a reliable and conscientious individual who can work independently, support waste management activities, and operate site equipment safely and efficiently.
- Empty skips and waste containers in a safe and timely manner.
- Maintain clean and tidy skip areas, yard spaces, and surrounding work environments.
- Transport waste from production areas to designated waste storage locations.
- Remove litter and debris from yard and car parking areas to maintain site standards.
- Operate a forklift truck safely in accordance with site procedures and training.
- Operate a JCB digger and other authorised equipment to support yard operations.
Qualifications:
- Previous labouring or yard operations experience.
- Valid forklift licence.
- Forklift truck operating experience.
- Previous experience operating a JCB digger or similar industrial vehicle.
- Previous experience handling industrial waste.
- Understanding of, or training in, Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) requirements.
