About the Team:
Gen Studio is Gen Digital’s in-house creative team, developing campaigns, social content, product storytelling and launch creative for our family of brands, including Norton, Avast, LifeLock and MoneyLion. Bringing together creative direction, writing and design, we take work from initial concept through to execution-all within one company, with a distinct voice and identity for each brand.
About the Role:
As the volume, visibility, and complexity of creative work continue to grow across brands and business priorities, we need a senior creative leader who can raise the level of the work while also building the structure around it.
This role is designed for someone who can lead at a high level, manage and develop a strong creative pod, and stay hands-on in the moments that matter most. It is not a pure management role, and it is not an execution-only role. It is a senior leadership position for a creative who can set vision, direct teams, shape major work, and help scale quality, consistency, and speed across the organization.
The Senior Creative Director will lead creative across priority brands, campaigns, and initiatives, with responsibility for both the output and the system behind it. This person will oversee a pod of creative directors, writers, and designers, providing clear direction, strong feedback, and the kind of leadership that helps the team do its best work.
They will be expected to operate at both altitude and ground level: defining the creative approach, guiding the team through concept and execution, and stepping directly into briefs, reviews, presentations, and key decisions when the stakes are high.
Key Responsibilities:
Creative Leadership:
Lead the creative direction for high-priority brand, campaign, social, product, and content initiatives
Set the standard for concept quality, craft, storytelling, and strategic alignment
Translate briefs and business goals into clear creative opportunities and actionable direction
Ensure work is distinctive, on-brand, and effective across channels and audiences
Team Leadership:
Lead and develop a pod of creative directors, writers, designers, and external partners as needed
Create clarity around roles, ownership, priorities, and expectations
Provide direct, timely, and useful feedback that improves the work and grows the team
Mentor senior talent and help identify where the team needs additional support or investment
Hands-On Direction:
Stay close to the work at the right moments, especially during briefing, concept development, reviews, pitches, and major launches
Step in as a creative lead on the most visible or strategically important assignments
Help teams solve complex creative problems quickly and effectively
Present work with confidence and clarity to senior stakeholders and cross-functional partners
Workflow and Operations:
Build stronger creative processes, review rhythms, and ways of working that improve quality and efficiency
Partner with production, strategy, marketing, social, brand, and other stakeholders to keep work moving at a high level
Help shape pod resourcing so the team can focus, delegate effectively, and deliver against priorities
Identify workflow, tooling, and AI-enabled opportunities that improve speed and creative output without lowering the bar
Business and Brand Impact:
Contribute to major brand moments, launches, and campaigns that have outsized visibility and impact
Help ensure the creative organization is structured to support current business needs and future growth
Strengthen trust with key stakeholders through strong thinking, strong work, and strong follow-through
Drive work that is creatively ambitious and operationally realistic
About You:
Experience:
12+ years of experience in creative, art direction, copy, design, brand, campaign, or integrated marketing roles
Significant experience leading senior creatives and multidisciplinary teams
Experience leading work across multiple channels, including brand, social, campaign, content, and launch
Proven ability to move between strategic leadership and hands-on creative direction
Experience building teams, mentoring talent, and improving creative workflows
Comfort working in fast-moving environments with multiple priorities and high standards
Skills:
Strong presentation and communication skills with executive-level stakeholders
Working knowledge of emerging creative tools and AI-enabled workflows is a strong plus

A strong portfolio of brand and campaign work that shows concept strength, craft, and range
