Job Description -

• Prepare, review, and file direct tax returns accurately and within statutory deadlines.
• Analyze and interpret tax laws and regulations to ensure full compliance across all applicable jurisdictions.
• Develop and implement effective tax planning strategies to optimize the company’s tax position and minimize liabilities.
• Liaise and coordinate with external advisors, auditors, and regulatory authorities on tax matters and audits.
• Provide timely guidance and support to internal stakeholders on complex tax issues and compliance requirements.
• Monitor legislative and regulatory changes in direct taxation, assessing their potential impact and recommending proactive actions.
• Maintain thorough documentation of tax processes, policies, and compliance activities to support audits and internal reviews.
• Review tax calculations, reconciliations, and supporting schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Support the preparation of tax provisions and tax reporting for statutory and management reporting purposes.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate tax risks through the implementation and monitoring of effective tax controls.
• Lead and coordinate responses to tax audits, assessments, information requests, and regulatory examinations.
• Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, Legal, HR, and business teams to ensure appropriate tax treatment of transactions and business activities.
• Support transfer pricing compliance, documentation, and reporting requirements where applicable.
• Evaluate the tax implications of new business initiatives, restructurings, acquisitions, and organizational changes.
• Drive continuous improvement of tax processes, controls, and procedures to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, corporate governance standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare tax analyses, forecasts, and management reports to support strategic decision-making.
• Review and validate tax-related accounting entries and reconciliations during month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Support the implementation and optimization of tax-related systems, automation initiatives, and process enhancements.
• Partner with internal and external auditors to facilitate timely completion of audit requirements.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of the company’s tax risk management framework.
• Provide coaching and technical guidance to junior team members and support knowledge-sharing initiatives within the tax function.
• Participate in cross-functional projects and contribute tax expertise to business transformation and process improvement initiatives.
