Associate Senior software engineer

What you’ll own

• Inventory manual reports and business logic (Excel/Sheets); capture definitions, owners, cadence, and dependencies

• Rebuild report logic as SQL transformations in cloud data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake/BigQuery/Redshift/Synapse)

• Validate parity vs. legacy outputs; reconcile discrepancies and document assumptions

• Publish curated datasets/metrics for dashboards and consumers (e.g., Power BI), partnering with stakeholders on requirements

• Use AI tools to speed analysis and drafting while maintainingaccuracy and controls

What you’ll bring

Must-Have

• • Power BI: building reports and dashboards

  • SQL (intermediate): write queries from scratch; joins, aggregations, filters, subqueries; comfortable reading unfamiliar schemas
  • SQL transformations in cloud data warehouses: build reliable staging/curated datasets; strong joins, window functions, and reusable logic; comfortable working across schemas

• Comfort with fragmented, incomplete data: able to navigate multiple disconnected source systems, reconcile inconsistencies, and piece together a coherent picture without hand-holding

• AI-first mindset: daily user of AI tools (Copilot/ChatGPT/Claudeor similar) to speed analysis and drafting; already works this way (not “will learn”)

• Data documentation: able to catalogue reports, map columns to source systems, and write clear descriptions for non-technical audiences

• Attention to detail: finance-grade accuracy; output feeds executive and regulatory reporting

It’s a bonus if you have

• • Snowflake or any cloud data warehouse (BigQuery, Redshift, Synapse)

  • Experience in financial services, payments, or fintech

  • Python or basic scripting

  • Cross-domain data analysis: exposure to working with data from more than one business function or system; comfortable joining datasets that weren’tdesigned to be joined
