Engineering Manager - DevOps/SRE

Role Summary : Engineering Manager with strong experience on DevOps, Cloud, and Site Reliability Engineering.
Manage a team of Engineers that will :
- Design, implement, and maintain cloud automation pipelines and infrastructure-as-code using Azure DevOps, Terraform, and related scripting tools.
- Partner with U.S. based Cloud Architecture and Operations teams to standardize, secure, and streamline deployments across multiple AWS environments.
- Ensure platform reliability, performance, and availability across production and staging environments.
- Lead incident response, improve observability, and automate recovery processes to maintain high service uptime and operational efficiency.
Qualifications :
- 11+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud, or Infrastructure Automation roles.
- Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps (YAML pipelines, approvals, templates).
- Strong skills in Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell, Bash, and Python.
- Working knowledge of AWS (EKS, EC2, RDS, IAM, S3, CloudWatch).
- Understanding of Kubernetes, Helm, and GitOps workflows.
- Experience with infrastructure security, IAM policies, and environment segregation.
- Excellent problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills.
Job Responsibilities :
1. CI/CD and Infrastructure Automation :
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps (Pipelines, Repos, and Artifacts).
- Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform, Ansible, and PowerShell.
- Support configuration management and drift remediation across cloud environments.
- Manage Kubernetes (EKS) clusters and Helm deployments.
- Write and maintain reusable Terraform modules and automation scripts in Bash and Python.
- Implement automated checks for security, compliance, and cost optimization.
- Collaborate with Cloud Architects and Operations teams to standardize build and release processes.
- Troubleshoot build, deployment, and configuration issues.
- Document CI/CD and IaC standards, patterns, and operational playbooks.
2. Site Reliability Engineering :
- Maintain reliability and availability for production workloads in AWS.
- Define and measure SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets.
- Automate recovery, scaling, and operational tasks via scripting.
- Develop monitoring, alerting, and dashboards using Datadog, Prometheus, and CloudWatch.
- Partner with DevOps and product teams to strengthen release reliability and rollback automation.
- Lead root cause analysis and post-incident reviews to improve system resilience.
- Implement operational runbooks and self-healing automation using Python, PowerShell, and Bash.
- Improve system scaling, capacity management, and cross-region failover designs.
- Participate in global on-call rotation and follow-the-sun incident response.
