Job Description - AI Architect (Microsoft Fabric + Azure AI Foundry)

Experience: 12- 16 Years

Key Responsibilities

• AI & Data Platform Architecture

• Define reference architecture using Microsoft Fabric (One lake, data factory, Lakehouse, Data Engineering, Data Science, Real-Time Analytics, Power BI)

• Architect AI solutions leveraging Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, Cognitive Services, and ML services

• Design lakehouse architecture, data models, medallion layers, and governance standards

• Establish patterns for data ingestion, transformation, feature engineering, and model consumption

• AI Solution Design & Implementation

• Design and productionize LLM, NLP, and ML use cases using Azure AI Foundry

• Implement RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation), vector search, prompt orchestration, and AI pipelines

• Define model lifecycle, evaluation, monitoring, and responsible AI practices

• Integrate AI capabilities into enterprise applications via APIs and microservices

• Microsoft Fabric Implementation

• Lead Fabric workspace setup, security model, and data governance

• Implement pipelines using Data Factory in Fabric, Spark notebooks, and semantic models

• Optimize performance, partitioning, and storage strategies in OneLake

• Enable Power BI integration for AI/analytics consumption

• Governance, Security & Compliance

• Define enterprise standards for data security, PII handling, and access control

• Ensure compliance with enterprise and regulatory standards

• Implement monitoring, observability, and cost optimization strategies

• Stakeholder & Engineering Collaboration

• Work with business, data engineering, data science, and application teams

• Provide architectural guidance, code reviews, and best practices

• Lead PoCs, accelerators, and AI capability enablement across teams

Required Skills

• 10+ years in data/AI architecture roles

• Strong hands-on expertise in Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, Data Engineering, Power BI)

• Experience with Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, and Cognitive Services

• Knowledge of LLM architecture, RAG, vector databases, prompt engineering

• Strong understanding of data modelling, ETL/ELT, and lakehouse patterns

• Experience integrating AI with APIs and enterprise applications

• Understanding of security, governance, and responsible AI

Good to Have

• Experience with Databricks or other lakehouse platforms

• Knowledge of Python, PySpark, ML frameworks

• Exposure to MLOps and CI/CD for AI workloads

• Experience in enterprise data modernization or analytics transformation programs
