Responsibilities:

  • Lead backend development across product teams, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
  • Architect and maintain robust database structures and backend services that support growing workloads and business use cases.
  • Make key technology and architectural decisions to drive code health, modularity, and long-term maintainability.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Solution Architects, and DevOps to deliver high-quality solutions that solve real customer problems.
  • Define and enforce coding standards, system design best practices, and a high engineering bar across teams.
  • Drive technical roadmap discussions and own major initiatives, including new product architecture, refactors, and performance upgrades.
  • Mentor engineers through code reviews, design guidance, and regular feedback.
  • Lead incident reviews, tech debt triaging, and retrospectives for continuous technical improvement.


Requirements:

  • 1+ year in a technical leadership role with 5+ years' experience in scaling enterprise SaaS platforms.
  • 5+ years of hands-on backend development experience (e. g., Ruby, Node.js, Python, or Java).
  • 5+ years of system design, API development, and performance optimization.
  • 1+ years of experience in managing a team of 5+ engineers and driving hiring initiatives.
  • Strong experience with Postgres, MongoDB, and designing for high-traffic systems.
  • Strong knowledge of distributed systems, Designing and Architecting.
  • Knowledge of AWS, GCP, or Azure for scalable cloud architecture.
  • Hands-on experience with Docker/Kubernetes and Jenkins CI/CD pipelines.
  • A solution-first mindset, strong problem-solving skills, and a drive to push technical boundaries.
