The Google Ad Manager keeps the open web thriving by providing the industry-leading platform publishers rely on to monetize content. We power high-stakes direct reservations and real-time programmatic auctions globally. As a major driver of Google's revenue, Ad Manager processes massive transaction volumes annually. The Frontend team builds the full-stack product (schema, APIs, web UI, and offline pipelines) used daily by publishers. We are actively integrating LLM and generative AI capabilities directly into these workflows, making this an ideal role to drive massive, real-world AI impact.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.US: $207000 - $300000 (USD) + 20% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities
- Manage and coach a team of 6-10 software engineers across levels. Foster a collaborative culture and actively guide career growth, design leadership, and engineering craft.
- Lead full-stack system design from databases to agentic workflows. Review designs and code, advocating for sustainable patterns that reduce technical debt.
- Partner closely with Product Management and UX bringing strong product intuition to translate business goals into well-scoped, prioritized engineering roadmaps.
- Serve as a primary technical connector across other Ad Manager engineering, AdSense, AdMob, and other partner teams.
- Balance rapid feature delivery with platform reliability, while empowering the team to build and leverage generative AI and agentic capabilities.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in software development.
- 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role.
- Experience building web, mobile, or desktop applications in languages like Dart, C#, JavaScript, Kotlin, Ruby, Go, Swift, and Objective-C.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
People management experience in a technical environment.
- Experience managing front-end engineering teams or driving front-end technical strategy.
