Government on Commercial Cloud (GCC) is a "wrapper" platform facilitating government agencies in swiftly and securely adopting commercial cloud solutions from Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) at a lower cost. GCC allows Singapore government agencies to tap on commercial cloud software and cloud native services - provided by multinational conglomerates - to incorporate advanced functionalities into their applications, leading to faster delivery of secure and seamless digital government services for Citizens and Businesses. GCC comprises a suite of products such as GCC 2.0, GCC+, GCC Lite, BaaS+, GCC Pulse and Cloud Management Portal (CMP).

[What you will be working on]  

What you will own:

You will own the management of a GCC product through its entire Product Life Cycle.

What you are expected to do:

As a GCC Senior/ Lead Product Manager, you are expected to fulfil these three key areas of responsibility:

Drive Product Strategy and Continuous Feature Development.

Set the product vision and proactively lead the development of product roadmaps that anticipate user needs and align with Programme strategy.

Drive User Adoption.

Own, develop and implement the go-to-market (GTM) strategy of your assigned GCC Product.

Ensure Long-Term Business Viability and Sustainability of your product by maintaining strong oversight on its fiscal health and progress towards delivering its specific strategic goals and desired outcomes.

You will do this by:

Product Strategy and Continuous Feature Development

• Set the product vision and develop long-term roadmaps, including coordinating across teams to deliver.

• Conduct regular focus group discussions to understand user requirements and gather user pain points to iteratively improve GCC product features.

• Maintain technology watch of the latest cloud infrastructure innovation and build strong collaborative relationships with strategic industry partners to leverage their forefront cloud native services and products to enhance GCC’s cloud infrastructure capability.

• Work with GCC Core Engineering Team to prioritise engineering resources in the implementation of product feature enhancements, recognising tradeoffs between speed and long-term technical debt.

Drive User Adoption

• Conduct regular webinars and change management sessions for agency users to drive better understanding and correct use of GCC products and their features to aid in their development of secure and seamless digital government services.

• Work with the central Document Enablement Team in the development of product documentation to reduce user friction during their adoption journey.

• Work with GCC Solution Engineering Team to address user queries on GCC Products and engage agency users.

Ensure Long-Term Business Viability and Sustainability

• Be responsible for the budget and finance planning to ensure a healthy P&L for the GCC Product.

• Conduct regular product pricing reviews based on adoption rate and operating cost to ensure it is fairly priced and yet generates sufficient revenue to cover the operating cost as a central platform product.

• Provide GovTech Management with timely updates on the performance of the product through monthly OKR reporting and product scorecard.

[What we are looking for]  

We are looking for a strategic product leader who thrives in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment and is versatile, able to operate across individual contribution, team leadership and cross-functional collaboration. In particular, a candidate with the following skillsets and attributes:

• 6 to 8 years’ experience in managing cloud infrastructure and/or tech stack products, with at least 2 years in a product leadership role. Years of experience are a rough guideline. We are also open to exceptional candidates who demonstrate strong strategic thinking, product leadership, and a track record of delivering impact at scale.

• Deep expertise in commercial cloud, cloud GenAI Platforms, and Day-2 operations of cloud-hosted systems.

• Proven ability to set product vision, develop long-term roadmaps, and translate programme strategy into actionable product plans

• Strong stakeholder management and communications skills with the ability to navigate complex matrix relationships and resolve competing priorities. You must be comfortable making presentations to senior management on a regular basis.

• Strong command of Agile development methodology and OKR framework.

• Sharp business development acumen with experience in P&L ownership and product pricing strategy.
