The position leads recruiting, new-hire orientation, 30/60/90-day employee follow-ups, exit interviews, and related reporting, while also providing hands-on support in employee relations, HR compliance, benefits and payroll coordination, performance management, and employee records. The Talent Acquisition Generalist partners with managers and the HR Coordinator and escalates sensitive decisions to the HR Manager.

Responsibilities:

Recruitment & Talent Acquisition

  • Manage full-cycle recruiting for hourly and management positions across all company locations.

  • Post and maintain requisitions in the applicant tracking system; review applications, screen candidates, conduct initial interviews, and coordinate manager interviews.

  • Maintain timely candidate communication, status updates, selection documentation, and hiring decisions.

  • Coordinate offer preparation, approvals, and pre-employment requirements with the HR Manager and HR Coordinator.

  • Develop candidate pipelines and partner with operations to anticipate staffing needs.

  • Coordinate job fairs, referral campaigns, recruiting partnerships, and other sourcing activities.

  • Own scheduling, preparation, delivery, and continuous improvement of centralized New-Hire Orientation (NHO).

  • Facilitate orientation sessions in English and Spanish as appropriate; explain company policies, expectations, and available resources.

  • Partner with the HR Coordinator to verify onboarding documentation, orientation attendance, and completion of requirements.

  • Follow up with managers regarding employee start dates, initial training, and new-hire integration.

  • Conduct and document exit interviews, summarize reasons for separation, and identify patterns.

  • Partner with managers on early-tenure engagement, training concerns, and retention improvement opportunities.

  • Research new recruiting sources, community events, and outreach opportunities to strengthen the company's talent acquisition efforts.

  • Support employee referral programs and other approved recruitment initiatives.

  • Coordinate hiring events and recruiting expenses with prior HR Manager approval.

Reporting & HR Support

  • Prepare weekly recruiting dashboards covering applications, screenings, interviews, hires, open positions, and pipeline status.

  • Prepare monthly turnover, retention, exit-interview, and 30/60/90-day follow-up reports, including key trends and action items.

  • Maintain accurate ATS records and support audits, policy implementation, and special HR projects.

  • Assist with employee relations documentation and fact gathering as assigned; refer investigations and disciplinary decisions to the HR Manager.

  • Maintain confidentiality and perform other related duties as assigned.

  • Recruitment pipeline and time-to-fill; hiring and NHO completion; 30/60/90-day follow-up completion; exit-interview completion; reporting timeliness and accuracy; documented retention insights.

General HR Operations & Employee Support

All responsibilities are performed under the direction and with the approval of the HR Manager, as applicable.

  • Provide general HR support to employees and managers regarding company policies, attendance, leave, and workplace matters.

  • Assist with employee relations, including documentation, preliminary fact-gathering, and follow-up, under HR Manager supervision.

  • Support performance management, employee coaching, corrective actions, and related documentation as directed.

  • Support HR compliance, employee file audits, required training, and consistent implementation of company policies.

  • Assist with employee engagement, internal communications, and HR initiatives in collaboration with the HR Coordinator and Marketing Department, with HR Manager approval.

  • Perform additional HR duties and special projects as assigned by the HR Manager.

Requirements:

  • Two to four years of Human Resources experience, including full-cycle recruiting; prior experience recruiting for restaurants or multi-location food service operations strongly preferred.

  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required, including effective verbal and written communication with employees, applicants, and management.

  • Demonstrated ability to source, engage, and recruit candidates for both hourly restaurant positions and management roles.

  • Strong communication, organization, follow-through, discretion, and customer service skills.

  • Must maintain a flexible work schedule and be willing to travel between company locations and attend off-site recruiting events as needed.

  • Proficiency with HRIS, interviewing, onboarding, Microsoft Excel, and recruitment reporting

  • Positive, approachable, team-oriented attitude, with a genuine passion for Human Resources, supporting employees, and contributing to a collaborative, family-oriented company culture

Bonus Points:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

  • Experience recruiting for restaurants, food service, retail, or multi-location operations.

  • Hands-on experience with online recruiting platforms and applicant tracking systems, including Indeed and JobScore.

  • Experience with high-volume recruiting and multi-location staffing.

Work Schedule & Availability:

  • Availability to work occasional evenings or weekends may be required, with schedule adjustments coordinated and approved by the HR Manager.

  • Must be willing to travel between company locations and attend off-site recruiting events as needed.

Physical Requirements:
