  • Review solution designs to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture principles, approved patterns, security standards, resilience requirements, and operational expectations.
  • Guide delivery teams in making practical architecture decisions that balance speed, cost, resilience, security, compliance, and long-term maintainability.
  • Serve as a key member of the Architecture Review Board for cloud, infrastructure, and platform architecture matters.
  • Develop architecture decision records, reference architectures, playbooks, and design patterns to improve consistency and reusability across delivery teams.

    Leadership, Collaboration & Capability Building

  • Provide architecture leadership, coaching, and mentoring to solution architects, engineers, platform teams, operations teams, and delivery teams.
  • Build reusable architecture standards, patterns, playbooks, and decision frameworks to uplift cloud, infrastructure, and platform architecture maturity across Group IT.
  • Influence senior stakeholders across business and technology teams to drive adoption of enterprise cloud, infrastructure, and platform architecture standards.
  • Partner with application, integration, data, AI, security, engineering, and operations teams to ensure architecture decisions are cohesive across domains.

  • Have experience reviewing and guiding major technology initiatives involving cloud adoption, infrastructure modernisation, application modernisation, data platforms, integration platforms, or digital delivery.
  • Are able to identify structural technology issues such as platform fragmentation, inconsistent infrastructure patterns, weak operational readiness, resilience gaps, unmanaged cloud usage, and architectural debt.
  • Can translate business, regulatory, risk, security, compliance, and operational requirements into practical architecture standards, platform controls, and solution design patterns.
  • Can work effectively with business stakeholders, application teams, integration teams, data and AI teams, cloud and infrastructure engineering, operations, Security, Risk, Compliance, and delivery teams to drive alignment and practical outcomes.
  • Have strong communication, stakeholder management, influencing, and facilitation skills, with the ability to explain complex cloud, infrastructure, and platform architecture issues to both technical and non-technical audiences.
