Engineering Manager

We are looking for a seasoned Engineering Manager with deep expertise in distributed systems to lead backend teams building highly scalable, fault-tolerant platforms. This role requires strong architectural thinking, hands-on depth, and the ability to drive systems at scale.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor backend teams building large-scale distributed systems.
• Architect and design highly scalable, fault-tolerant, and low-latency systems.
• Drive system design for microservices, event-driven architecture, and real-time processing.
• Own end-to-end backend architecture, performance, and reliability.
• Collaborate with Product and Data teams to build scalable platform capabilities.
• Ensure best practices in system design, code quality, observability, and reliability engineering.
• Hire and grow high-performing engineering teams.

Requirements:

• 12+ years of backend engineering experience with deep distributed systems expertise.
• Strong experience managing engineering teams (5-15 engineers).
• Hands-on experience in Java / Golang / Python.
• Strong fundamentals in Distributed Systems concepts: Scalability, Consistency, Availability (CAP theorem), Caching, Load Balancing, Sharding, Replication, Messaging systems (Kafka / RabbitMQ).
• Experience building high-throughput, low-latency systems at scale.
• Strong experience with Microservices and Event-Driven Architecture.
• Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS / GCP / Azure).
• Solid understanding of databases (SQL, NoSQL, Distributed Datastores).

Good to Have:

• Experience in B2C / D2C high-scale platforms.
• Background in Fintech / E-commerce / Real-time systems.
• Exposure to streaming systems and data pipelines.
