About the Role
We're looking for a Senior React Native Engineer to take ownership of our iOS and Android mobile applications. This is a hands-on engineering role with the opportunity to influence technical decisions, improve development practices, and help shape the future of our mobile products.
You'll collaborate with our Product, Design, Backend, and Engineering teams to build scalable, reliable mobile experiences. We're looking for someone who can independently solve complex problems, deliver production-quality code, and leverage AI tools to work smarter and faster.
What You'll Do
- Build, maintain, and optimize React Native applications for iOS and Android.
- Own features from architecture and development through testing, deployment, and release.
- Develop native integrations and troubleshoot complex mobile performance issues.
- Use AI coding tools to accelerate development, debugging, testing, and code quality.
- Contribute to technical architecture, code reviews, and engineering best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor less-experienced developers.
What We're Looking For
- 8+ years of software development experience, including 5+ years of hands-on React Native development.
- Strong proficiency in React Native, React.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
- Experience with native iOS (Swift/Objective-C) and Android (Kotlin/Java) integrations.
- Experience with React Native New Architecture, native modules, and performance optimization.
- Proven experience releasing and maintaining production apps on both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
- Demonstrated expertise using AI coding tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, or GitHub Copilot in daily development.
- Experience with REST APIs, Git, automated testing, and mobile CI/CD workflows.
- Strong communication skills, technical judgment, and ability to independently own complex features.
Nice to Have
- Experience with offline-first mobile applications, geolocation, maps, and payment integrations.
- Experience integrating AI/LLM-powered features into mobile applications.
- Familiarity with Firebase, AWS, Node.js, or PostgreSQL.
- Experience mentoring engineers or contributing to technical leadership in a startup environment.
