Role Overview :

We are seeking a hands-on Solution Architect - Technical Architect (4+ years experience) with a strong background in Application Delivery and Technical Design. Acting as a key architecture team member, you will bridge business requirements and software engineering by creating high-level and low-level technical designs (HLD/LLD), mapping application landscapes, and driving integration architecture across core Life Insurance platforms.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Architecture Documentation & Design Artifacts :

- Create and maintain High-Level Designs (HLD), Low-Level Designs (LLD), system sequence diagrams, data flow diagrams, and application dependency maps.

- Document AS-IS and target TO-BE application architectures under guidance from senior enterprise architects using tools like Visio, Draw.io, or Lucidchart.

2. Solution Support & Application Delivery :

- Provide technical solution design across the insurance lifecycle : New Business & Proposal - Underwriting - Policy Issuance, Endorsements, Claims, and Payout/Commission flows.

- Define interface specifications, REST/JSON API contracts, and non-functional requirements (NFRs) for Policy Administration Systems (PAS), CRMs, payment gateways, and partner portals.

3. Integration & Systems Alignment :

- Analyze integration patterns between core insurance suites (e.g., LifeAsia, Ingenium, or custom enterprise suites) and digital channels (agent/customer portals, aggregators).

- Define source-to-target data mappings, event-driven message flows, and data movement rules across distributed microservices.

4. Architecture Governance & Vendor Support :

- Participate in Architecture Review Board (ARB) checks to validate project designs against enterprise standards, security guidelines, and regulatory compliance (IRDAI).

- Assist in vendor solution evaluations, RFP technical responses, and Proof-of-Concept (PoC) builds.

Mandatory Requirements :

- Total Experience : Minimum 4+ years of experience in software engineering, solution architecture, or technical application delivery.

- Domain Exposure : Prior experience or working knowledge of Life Insurance - Health Insurance systems (PAS, Underwriting, Claims, or Digital Insurance Portals).

- Design Deliverables : Hands-on experience drafting technical architecture documents (HLD, LLD, sequence diagrams, integration specs).

- Tech Stack : Solid understanding of REST APIs, JSON, Microservices architecture, RDBMS, and basic cloud concepts (AWS - Azure).

Deal-breakers (Do NOT Apply If) :

- You are a pure Cloud Infrastructure - DevOps - SRE - DBA specialist without application software architecture experience.

- You have never authored technical design artifacts (HLD/LLD, sequence diagrams).

- Your experience is strictly from non-BFSI - non-Insurance industries without relevant financial application delivery background.

- You have only worked in IT Help Desk, L1/L2 Support, or QA Testing roles.
