Vice President - Audit Execution - Data Analytics

Role Overview:
We are looking for an experienced professional to lead and execute advanced data analytics initiatives supporting Internal Audit engagements within a leading global financial services organisation.
The role will involve partnering with audit teams and business stakeholders to leverage data analytics for risk identification, control assessment, audit testing and reporting. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in SQL, Python, Tableau and Power BI, along with mandatory Third Line of Defence (3LOD) Internal Audit experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and execute data analytics strategies to support Internal Audit engagements.
- Partner with audit teams throughout the audit lifecycle, including planning, scoping, testing, documentation and reporting.
- Leverage SQL and Python to extract, analyse and interpret data from multiple source systems.
- Identify trends, anomalies, potential control weaknesses and emerging risks through advanced analytics.
- Assess data completeness, accuracy and reliability to ensure effective audit testing.
- Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Tableau and Power BI.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify relevant data sources and key data elements.
- Document analytical procedures, testing methodologies and findings in accordance with Internal Audit standards.
- Present analytical insights and recommendations to audit stakeholders and senior management.
- Identify opportunities to enhance audit coverage, efficiency and effectiveness through automation and advanced analytics.
- Explore the application of Artificial Intelligence and Generative AI to strengthen audit processes.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Overall 12+ years of professional experience, with a minimum of 7 - 8 years in Data Analytics.
- Mandatory experience in Internal Audit - Third Line of Defence (3LOD).
- Strong hands-on experience in SQL and Python for data analysis and automation.
- Expertise in data visualisation tools such as Tableau and Power BI.
- Proven experience in delivering analytics solutions across the audit lifecycle.
- Strong understanding of risk assessment, internal controls and audit testing methodologies.
- Experience in analysing large and complex datasets and identifying trends, anomalies and control gaps.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and deliver within defined timelines.
Good to Have:
- Experience in Alteryx workflow development.
- Exposure to Artificial Intelligence (AI), Generative AI and Machine Learning.
- Knowledge of predictive analytics, cloud platforms and automation tools.
- Professional certifications such as CIA, CISA, CPA, CFSA, Microsoft Power BI, Tableau or relevant Data Analytics certifications.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Artificial Intelligence, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Risk Management or a related discipline.
Mandatory Requirement:
Candidates must have hands-on Data Analytics experience along with Third Line of Defence (3LOD) Internal Audit experience, preferably within the Banking or Financial Services industry.
