Salesforce Administrator

Please note: This role is contingent upon a contract award. While it is not an immediate opening, we are actively conducting interviews and extending offers in anticipation of the award.

The Work: ICF seeks an experienced Salesforce Administrator to support the phased implementation and operation of an enterprise grants management platform built on Salesforce Agentforce Public Sector. The Salesforce Administrator will configure and maintain users, roles, permissions, objects, fields, workflows, Flows, reports, dashboards, and other platform capabilities. This role will support environment management, data quality, deployments, release activities, system monitoring, user support, and production issue resolution. Working across architects, developers, business analysts, testers, security specialists, and government stakeholders, the Administrator will help maintain a secure, accessible, reliable, and well-documented platform that supports evolving grants management requirements.

Job Location: Remote work is authorized. Must support US Eastern time zone working hours.

What You Will Do:

• Configure, maintain, and support Salesforce applications and platform capabilities in a secure federal Salesforce cloud environment.
• Manage users, roles, permission sets, profiles, groups, queues, sharing rules, connected apps, service accounts, and other access/security configurations.
• Support Salesforce administration activities across multiple environments, including Integration, Stage, Production, sandboxes, and other approved development/testing environments.
• Create, refresh, validate, and decommission Salesforce sandboxes in coordination with application teams, release teams, and business owners.
• Configure Salesforce using native low-code/no-code capabilities, including flows, page layouts, Lightning record pages, custom objects, fields, validation rules, reports, dashboards, email templates, and user experience enhancements.
• Support Experience Cloud, Public Sector Solutions, Service Cloud, or other Salesforce capabilities as required by the customer environment.
• Coordinate, schedule, validate, and execute Salesforce releases, including major releases, minor releases, hotfixes, and production changes.
• Support release management processes, including release calendar management, deployment planning, release readiness reviews, change request preparation, rollback planning, and post-deployment validation.
• Work with development teams to package, validate, and deploy configuration, metadata, code, and data-related changes using approved DevSecOps processes.
• Support CI/CD pipeline activities using tools such as Salesforce CLI, Salesforce DX, Git, GitLab, GitHub, Jenkins, Copado, Gearset, or similar release automation tools.
• Create and maintain Git repositories, branches, deployment artifacts, release notes, and environment/version control documentation.
• Support technical design document reviews by identifying release dependencies, environment impacts, deployment risks, security impacts, regression considerations, and operational readiness needs.
• Troubleshoot release, deployment, environment, access, configuration, integration, and production support issues.
• Support incident response and hotfix activities by validating configuration issues, access problems, deployment defects, and platform-level concerns.
• Support data import, export, cleanup, validation, and migration activities using Data Loader, Data Import Wizard, reports, SOQL, or approved customer tools.
• Support occasional off-hours releases, production deployments, outages, hotfixes, or urgent operational needs.

Basic Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience administering large, production Salesforce environments.

• At least 1 year of hands-on experience configuring users, roles, permission sets, sharing rules, objects, fields, validation rules, Flows, reports, dashboards, and other declarative platform capabilities.

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, business, or a related field.

• Ability to obtain and maintain a federal Public Trust.

• U.S. citizenship is required.

• Must reside in and be authorized to work in the United States. All work must be performed within the United States.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Active Salesforce Administrator certification (highly preferred).
• Experience with Salesforce Agentforce Public Sector, Experience Cloud, Service Cloud, Government Cloud, Salesforce Shield, or large multi-org environments.
• Experience supporting environment management, release planning, source control, deployment automation, and CI/CD using Git, Salesforce DX, or comparable tools.
• Experience with data imports, exports, cleansing, validation, duplicate management, and production support.
• Experience supporting a federal grants management implementation or another complex government platform.
• Experience administering OmniStudio components, including FlexCards, OmniScripts, Data Mappers, and Integration Procedures.
• Experience with SSO, MFA, identity management, external users, email relay, certificates, connected apps, and AppExchange package management.
• Experience supporting high-volume release environments, including scheduled releases, hotfixes, production changes, approvals, quality gates, and rollback planning.
• Experience with Salesforce data tools, SOQL, data migration, deduplication, reconciliation, APIs, service accounts, Platform Events, or middleware integrations.
• Familiarity with federal cybersecurity requirements, ATO support, security controls, vulnerability remediation, audit evidence, privacy, and records management.
• Experience creating configuration guides, release playbooks, operational runbooks, user documentation, and training materials.
• Experience supporting production incidents, root-cause analysis, hotfix validation, and post-release issue resolution.
• Additional Salesforce certifications, such as Advanced Administrator, Platform App Builder, Identity and Access Management Architect, Sharing and Visibility Architect, or Platform Developer I.
