Senior Full Stack Engineer, Growth Analytics

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced full-stack developer and technical architect to scope, build, and manage a custom funnel analytics dashboard for our performance marketing operations.

The dashboard will bring together data from Meta Ads, Shopify, attribution platforms, and individual sales funnels to help us understand funnel performance, identify opportunities, and make better marketing decisions.

We need someone who understands both software development and performance marketing data, particularly Meta Ads tracking, attribution, and funnel analytics.

This person must be able to independently scope projects, recommend technical solutions, and own development from planning through deployment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Funnel Dashboard Development

• Build a custom application to track and analyze marketing funnel performance.
• Connect advertising campaigns, creatives, landing pages, pre-landers, product pages, and checkout performance.
• Develop dashboards for funnel-level metrics such as traffic, conversion rates, CPA, AOV, ROAS, and revenue.
• Enable filtering and segmentation by campaign, ad set, creative, funnel, product, traffic source, and date range.
• Build reporting to compare different funnels, landing pages, offers, and funnel variations.
• Develop flexible reporting interfaces that allow users to drill into individual funnel performance.

2. Data Integrations & Attribution

• Integrate Meta Ads, Shopify, Hyros, Google Ads, and other relevant data sources.
• Build reliable data pipelines that combine advertising, funnel, and purchase data.
• Understand Meta Marketing API, Pixel, Conversions API (CAPI), UTMs, and event tracking.
• Connect ad-level performance to specific funnels and downstream conversions.
• Troubleshoot attribution discrepancies and ensure accurate reporting.
• Understand the limitations of different attribution models and reporting windows.

3. AI-Powered Funnel Analysis

• Integrate AI models to analyze funnel performance and identify optimization opportunities.
• Automatically identify underperforming funnel stages and conversion drop-offs.
• Analyze performance trends across creatives, audiences, landing pages, and offers.
• Generate AI-powered insights and recommendations based on funnel data.
• Build natural-language reporting capabilities to answer questions about funnel performance.
• Automate performance summaries, anomaly detection, and reporting.

4. Project Scoping & Technical Architecture

• Translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Independently scope projects, estimate costs, and establish development milestones.
• Recommend appropriate technologies, databases, and application architecture.
• Identify integration limitations, tracking challenges, and technical dependencies.
• Break projects into actionable development tasks.
• Own development, QA, deployment, documentation, and maintenance.

5. Application Infrastructure

• Build and deploy custom applications using Railway or similar platforms.
• Develop scalable backend systems, APIs, and databases.
• Ensure dashboard performance, data accuracy, and reliability.
• Maintain and improve applications as reporting requirements evolve.

Required Qualifications

• Strong full-stack development experience with React, Next.js, Node.js, Python, or similar technologies.
• Experience building custom analytics dashboards and reporting applications.
• Advanced SQL, database architecture, and API integration skills.
• Deep understanding of Meta Ads tracking, attribution, and marketing performance data.
• Experience working with funnel analytics, conversion events, and customer journeys.
• Experience integrating OpenAI or other LLM APIs into applications.
• Experience with Railway or comparable deployment infrastructure.
• Proven ability to independently scope, architect, and deliver software projects.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Experience

• DTC, e-commerce, or performance marketing agency experience.
• Shopify, Hyros, Google Ads, and Meta Marketing API integrations.
• Custom funnel tracking, UTM management, and event-based analytics.
• Familiarity with tools such as GA4, Triple Whale, or Funnelish.
• AI automation, anomaly detection, and custom business intelligence tools.
